Waja is the worst car ever!!! Even kenari is better than this junk..
So far my problems began since the car was brand new till now. Major problem is the windows which is drilling a hole in my pocket! I've changed the whole thing with so called Genuine Proton parts and its still rubbish. Must resort to opening my door at tolls. Now, only one window out of 4 works. This is after first change. Engine mounting was another thing which cost a bomb.

hi, does ur tuning cover throttle cleaning like the ones done in Proton Servis centers? usually i sent my waja there for tuning after a battery change but aduh..it takes them 1 whole day to tune my car....reason cause many cars and few mechanics... rclxub.gif

Yea bro...gimme 5...my 2002 waja din give me those problems oso...no rattling sounds or squeaks (got la but managed to rectify them) now...power window was never an issue even though i've been using them all these while for tolls everyday...in fact, my waja is even quieter than my gf's 7th gen civic...take my word for it. rclxms.gif rclxm9.gif thumbup.gif

i found that waja engine mounting is much cheaper than kelisa, but i'm not sure kelisa and kenari share the same mounting or not.

change the mouting after 5 years, i don't think there is any problem with that

my brake squeals after i changed the pads...so pls don't buy ori proton (mintye) pads...they suck...buy lucas or EON (if u dun mind the extra dust)...since they costs RM35 bucks oni, i'm gonna change to some after market stuff and chuck them away...probably give them to my bro's 1.6 wira... laugh.gif

among the things that have been broken in my waja all these years are the rear door handles (both, RM50 each), glove box handle (repaired and reinforced with metal plates), broken driver side power window bracket (repaired and reinforced with metal, FOC by my dad's fren icon_rolleyes.gif, and the notorious A/C fan switch...a whopping RM200+ inclusive of labour! ) and er....that's all i guess! (touch wood for the time being la...not inclusive of wear and tear stuff like absorbers and tyres) wub.gif

Hi All,
My car kinda vibrating when the gear is in D while the car is not moving and from what i read from posts by the experts here, it's the engine mounting problem. Therefore I'm going to the workshop and change the engine mounting tomorrow. I hope it's gonna solve my car's vibrating problem.. So, i heard the engine mounting, 4 of them, original cost about RM380, is that right?

I asked b4, if wanna change mouting, must change 4 together. Cannot change 1 or 2 coz it will be easily spoilt again after change. Dunno why loe.. The mechanic tell me 1... icon_rolleyes.gif

today i just got my car serviced - 20k service

my god, u wouldn't believe how much the Proton SC wanna charge me

The complete package cost about RM 700+ which includes:

Semi-synth oil
oil filter
fuel filter
air filter
spark plugs
A/T fluid change
brake fluid change
power steering fluid change
x1r stupid thingy stuff
labor charge at rm120

i tried to do w/o the brake fluid, power steering fluid and x1-r stupid thingy but still got about RM 540+

since i'm a stingy guy, i opted to change only the necessary - semi synth oil, oil and air filter change and spark plugs. costed me about rm 230 w/ labor.

now, how the hell did some of u guys manage to get away with rm 300+ for a 20k service?

damn... servicing at nissan at toyota cost less than this.

anyway, as usual, good and friendly service from Proton SC.

oh, btw - don't skip the AT fluid change. my friendly mechanic told me my gear is a lil bit slow changing now (which i did notice a few months earlier) due to thickened oil. he recommends me to change them on the next service. there goes another 170+...

anyway, happy with my car. gonna send my car for service elsewhere once the warranty is over.
