Just received my Waja Campro (version A not the P2) yesterday afternoon. Auto transmission.

Some of my feedback about the car :

Interior

Dashboard : Nice dashboard, but got some poor finishing on some area.
Aircon Duct : Improve alot. Now managed to blow to other area.
MP3/CD player : Sound quality quite good for default head unit. No complain on overall sound system.
Glovebox : Poor finishing, small size. Not enough to put many thing inside. Some problem when open and closed it.
Middle Console : Same as glovebox. Hard to open. Seem fragile. Enough space to put some of my CD inside.
Meter : Like it very much especially the white light.

Exterior

Love the bulky design. Remove the "campro 1.6" and "Waja" word on the rear. Look more nice according to my gf. Will be removing the proton "thundercat" at the front side of the car. Replace the front grill as well, make the car more fierce look.

Engine/Driving

The car is quite silent. Will install sound proof material on the engine department to make it more silent. Pickup slow. The car seem get its power after 60-70kmph. Handling is great compare to other local car. Realise something about the auto transmision, it will automatically down 1 gear when the car going downhill.

Conclusion : Satisfied with the interior.Spacious (main point I choose this car). Will be installing sound proof material in the future. It will reduce noise from engine and outside noise. Overall thumbs up for a sub 60k car.

Some question:

Which service center is the best in Penang/Butterworth?
I need some experience mechanic so I can query him regarding some engine issue's later.

ok , the light is becasue ECU running diagnose on our throttle body which has servo&gears inside , plus the electrical components inside the car.

when u turn on the light , the ECU will send signal to the servo and the gears inside will do somekind of 'check-up' ,the ECU will run diagnose from the servo and the other electrical parts of the engine .at the same time , the servo will determine the throttle body butterfly-flap postition, and send the data back to the ECU for verfication. hence , if you start to crank it in the middle of the check-up it will shock the system and the diagnose will not be completed .
if it sounds too complicated , it is somekind of 'it is safe to shut down your computer' in windows 95 .

for the campro , you no need to wait , this is beacsue it is running on different system , it mihgt be the ECU will diagnose after the engine has started . i am not so sure on campro's system either .

as u can see , many mitsu 1.5 , proton wira got this Throttle body problem , most of them are due to the melted gears inside . by practicing this method , it can increase the lifespan .

Thanks a lot. I will try to find the silicon based spray. Got any recommended brand?

For the Campro "check-up" light, wait for 1-2 second then start the engine. The light wont go off even u wait 1 minute. After you start the engine, if the light still there, then better take it to SC for check up.

Go to Autoworld, AsianAuto or WPC. Check out some of his thread.
He spend quite a lot of money on soundproofing.

Last week, when I am in KL for business trip. I went to COE.
There got a promotion for sound proofing our car.
The material is Vibramat. Cost around 600-700 whole car. Seem like a good bargain.
Check it out guys.

any complaints on the new waja campro, i.e: power windows failure?

hopefully, with new management, no more power windows failure again for new proton models.

So far so good. Still didn't mod anything yet. Get around 17-20 cent per km.
Will be upgrading some part as extractor, air filter and grounding.

Changing this 3 part will void warranty?

My Waja Campro reaching 10k in just 3month ++. No major problem detected so far.

Only a slight noise from the top of the meter area.
Slight noise from right rear door, SC plan to change the PW motor to solve the noise problem.

Other than that, comfort car.

Good to see that you car is fine. Just askin a few questions, how is the overall performance of the Waja Campro. Plan to get one also. Can u give me answers on its:-

A) Engine smoothness and how silent is it?
B) Handling?
C) Comfort (e.g are the leather seats soft? or is the air conditioner cold)
D) Overall Grading. ( On a scale of 1-10)

Thanks alot. Your answer will be much gladly received.
*
A) Auto - Sluggish. Manual will be better ( test drive both transmission, end up getting auto because gf wont allow me getting manual sweat.gif ). Campro engine seems to be louder noise than Mitsu engine, suggest get some sound proof work done in engine part. Reduce quite a lot.

B) Great. Test drive and feel it.

C) Erm .. You a** will feel burned if your car park under sun. But don't worry, with a good tint plus your air-cond, it will become cooler pretty fast.

D) Rate 7/10.

wanna ask, i want to remove my waja (2006 stock) emblem.
the 'waja' wording just above the plate no. how to remove and will it ruin my paintjob? please advice. thanks. smile.gif
*
After you remove it, there is 2 hole. So you need to cover it with some material.

After that, paint back the same colour as your car colour.
