@exkay: at least u can see that should there be any passender at the back seat of your car, they'd still be safe. no crush-in to the passenger zone nor any windows cracks at all...

judging from how badly damaged the iswara is and your broken axel, i'd say it's a pretty nasty accident. but it does show that waja is kinda safe too

the old waja is silver blue

the newer silver is whiter silver... it's hard to describe, but it's like a "fresh" silver color

waja campro is nice coz the price is the same with normal waja, but with leather seats + upholstery

i never give a damn about engine, but i do like leather interiors

rugi la i bought my waja too early (sep 05)

but many ppl saya mitsu engine beter than campro. i dunno lar. i stil like those free leather seats

take a photo of your crystal rear light when u got it

i am really bugged with the "studded dildo" like of the knobs of my clarion unit (u know, the vol and selec knobs?)

and plus, it'd be nice to have an mp3-capable cd player


at the meantime, i hooked my md player with a portable headphone amp into the clarion unit. it serves well, but i can't utilise the remotes on the steering wheel

there are some features in the new waja that i want

i totally dig the leather upholestery... it just matches with my waja color

and the center console? it's higher, bigger and padded - at last i have a place to rest my left arm...

the honeycomb lower grille at the front end... fi only it were chromed, it'd be nice

and the sucky thing about new waja campro: the supposedly "improved and new" air-duct and the name at the back...

campro is a DOHC engine which has better power torque on higher revs, hence the unsutiability to drive in cstop-go condition

noises from loose parts? parts and parcel of proton cars. they are improving though.

well, u can put extra petrol into gallon plastic tanks and store them properly in your boots and when u ran out of petrol in the fuel tank, u can just fill 'em up urself from the bottles

WAJA Clarion HU is actually "i-pod ready"

or you can say, it's anything-ready one. mp3 player, minidisc, or whatever external audio source

you only need a pair of RCA-to-mini jack and a philips screwdriver

plug in the RCA to the input at the back of the HU and u can use your mp3 player immediately

for better sound reproduction, use a headphone amp

as for me, i managed to make everything looks stock, w/o any visible wire at all. a DIY headphone pre-amp, and i've got a wired remote commander (from my minidisc) and have a small screen rigth on mys teering wheel. cheap mod for a great music experience.


edit: so my setup is like this:

sony md walkman -- remote commander -- headphone amp (power source from 12v car batt) -- rca cable -- clarion HU

cost? less than rm50 (actually on rm 6 for the cable if you dun include the amp)

well, new waja campro owners, have u guys tried out the bluetooth handsfree feature?

if it really works (like kelisa's wired one), it'd be extra cool

i guess all waja that has the single-cd player (w/o the cassette) have the RCA inputs at the back

pictures? i'd get a few when i open up the HU for amp-upgrade in a few weeks' time

i just read my local newspaper today.

there's one story that attracted me:

last monday, 4 waja was reported stolen. yes, FOUR waja.

and to top it off, my fren lost his waja when he was having lunch a few months ago. that's on broad daylight, mind you.

i guess waja is now a hot item. perhaps too easy to steal?

i'm worried. very worried. i know my steering lock wheel is just a placebo in place. anyone got any recommendation to beef up security? what can rm 1k get you?

and how much is that? what brand and how easy it is to install? i dun want to void my car warranty yet

if you to proton SC, they have a special gauge stand to correctly adjust your headlamp to desired angle, and it's quite precise too

the best thing is the fellas at my local SC is kind enuf to do it for free

just for the main headlamp (x2) or for all 4 lamps? (fog, low, high, flood lamp) ?
