Tanakwagu_noh,
one more symptom of a faulty steering bush: there's little bit freeplay when u turning the steering wheel right/left.espeacially when u counter-steer..

by the way, today i just notice my power steering fluid almost at minimum level ohmy.gif ..never check it before so dont know since when the fluid reduced sweat.gif ..hopefully there's no leakage anywhere cry.gif ...how frequent u guy topping the PS fluid? if there's no leakage i've been thinking of flushing the old fluid and change it with a new one.. sweat.gif
*
very east to check. open the hood, get someone to turn the steering for u. u if u see the whole rack mpving, time to change the bush. if u want a bush to last longer, get the pu ones. last i bought at rm100 per set.

i skipped my 15k service. i was at the PESC and just about to register for a 15k service when i noticed the booklet didn't recommend any 15k service. the next service will be 20k. saved me some moolah there
fully synth or semi synth - what difference can it make when most of the time, it's normal driving? the difference, i guess, is perhaps in price and also psychic-hp boost wink.gif
*
well, if fully syn, 10k or 3 months service intervals ok, if semi then 7.5k or 3 mths service intervals ok. if mineral, then 5k or 3 mths service intervals ok.

ori at rm400+, china at rm 180. best to get ori. china made pumps have been known to short out, and u don't want that happening at the fuel tank!

QUOTE(Silon @ Dec 18 2006, 11:21 PM)
hello everyone

we have a manual 4.5yold waja [4G18 engine].

dad sent it in to change the clutch the other day, batt taken out the whole day. after that many times the engine would start and the rpm would drop to zero and almost all the time, the idling rpms are around 600~750, lower than the normal 850~950.

took it back to reset the ECU and it was okay, then the problems started appearing the next day. took it in again and they did something to the ECU now the engine doesnt 'die', but the rpms are still low.

the guy there insists that there is something wrong with the ECU [replacement is ~rm3k rite?  rclxub.gif ]. was wondering if any of you have any experience with this?  sweat.gif
*
don't think it's the ecu. most likely the mech did'nt take the time to tune the car properly

service centre, maddriver. dont know, they seem extremely unhelpful in trying to solve the problem, putting the blame solely on the ECU. what theyre saying doesnt really make sense thats why im here asking for advice sweat.gif
*
tuning a waja not that easy. need to go into sas mode. i'm sure the service centre should know how to do that. just that it takes time to get it done right, becos u can't get it right the first time most of the time. hell, even we take some time to get it sorted out. that's why most outside service centres do not like to tune wajas. u might also want to clean your throttle body too.

man, that's the check engine light. get to a mechanic that has a mut / pdt, scanning tool to check the error code. proton charges rm80, we charge rm60 for the service

QUOTE(zaidi @ Dec 28 2006, 11:19 AM)
ya ... check the ecu using mut. normally that light will be off around 8 secs after the switch turned on. i normally let the engine check off first before cranking the engine

if i'm not mistaken, just to connect the mut and check error code, some SC charge around 20-30 only, but if you make other service, ie clean TB and check again, retune, it will cost around 80-100.
*
our charges include re-tuning.

act im newbie in technically.wat is MUT and PDT?so the light is showing my fren waja engine got problem?not gear box or radiator?but will after switch turn on still got the light there?i normally also switch turned on just start my engine.
*
mut. pdt are to check if there are any problems with the car once the check engine light is on. it is a monitoring device and a scanning tool for the ecu, model specific.
