If you want to use it as PC, always buy a Computer Monitor. 27"LCD is typically 2560px resolution..

for 21.5' vs 23' on same reso, if money permits, get the largest you can afford, small pixel is going to be pain the ass.. Especially scaling in windows 7 doesn't works that well

u can't see more things.it is the same resolution, means it contains the same number of pixels.

im using 1920x1080 on 21.5inch.. is just the same thing as 1920x1080 on 23inch, just that, 23inch has  larger display.  =.=
*
So the resolution determines how much things i can see on the screen. Not the screen size right?(The higher the resolution, the more things i can see on a screen)

So, Even a 27 inches monitor with 1920x1080 resolution, i will see the same amount of things on a 23 inches 1920x1080 monitor as well.Unless the 27 inches monitor has a higher resolution like 2560 x 1440 then only i can see more things right? But then, what's the purpose of opting a bigger display(like 23 inches instead of 21.5 inches display) when both of them display the same amount of things on the screen?

yep, u got it. smile.gif about opting 23 inches vs of 21.5 inches, im not sure why. but, the pixels are small at 21.5 inch, while bigger at 23inch. so, it comes to personal preferences maybe...

pardon me if im wrong.

is LG IPS 277L is a good grab? the resolution at 1920 * 1080, same with my 24" , i was expect i can get a bigger resolution at 27"...

so 27" with 1920 * 1080 will make picture/gaming/movie looks bad?
*
i still recommend u take 2560*1440 version than 1920*1080 version seriously...i prefer paying more attention with native resolution n then screen size laugh.gif rclxms.gif

dear experts...

i have a question here...was checking out on Dell 30" monitor and looks like the native resolution is 2560 x 1600. Question is if i am watching a normal AVI movie file, will it look very bad and pixelated ?

currently i'm using 22in with 1680 x 1050 native resolution and even though i use the normal 664 x 268 movie file, when i use full screen, although not sharp, but the quality is still very acceptable...

just wondering if this will not be the case if i change to 30 in with higher native resolution...

appreciate inputs...

also, i was thinking of using the 30" for Xbox gaming as well but then from other forum, i noticed that we have to change the screen resolution setting on Xbox...any users here got experience using PC monitor for console gaming?

thanks a million in advance!

Hi motel266,

I read from other forums that some dell ultrasharp monitors will have blank display when connect to console like xbox... Due to resolution compatible issue...

Any dell users here successfully connect to xbox?

Thanks!

P/s: i love to have mkv HD also but takes a long time for me to get it due to slow speed... smile.gif

But the problem is, I find out the review said it's to glossy! Do you guys have any idea on any others monitors at almost same price and specs? icon_question.gif

Min specs : HDMI, Full HD, Audio Out & <5ms

PS : Sorry if post in wrong thread.
