Hey guys, need some help here in choosing in between Asus VS239N and Samsung S23B350H.

These two are in my budget and is available in where I live. At first I was leaning towards the asus due to it being and IPs panel. However the 14ms response times sort of turn me down.

Can anyone give me some opinion in which should I go for? I'll mainly be using the monitor for gaming, movies, some occational photo editing.

Thanks guys.
*
have you view them in real life? as in try out the display units?

thats how you can test if theres anything you like about the both screens

but imo IPS is good if you like good and vivid colours smile.gif

as for the response time, 14ms may seem alot but overall its still in miliseconds. will your eye catch the ghosting effects? thatll be up to you to test out

I would definitely go for the P2412H because its cheaper and also have lots of ports compared to S2440L biggrin.gif

MVA panel, has good black depth but response time is even worst than the worst of IPS so IMO it's not worth it.
And also the big chunk of plastic panel beneath it is waste of space IMO, not so standard stands, looks very flimsy and might just break if pushed a little harder.
If you just needs the screen and can sacrifice everything else then you may get it, but I wonder how you go for the warranty later. hmm.gif

No model 23" under RM400 unless 2nd-hand or in promotion.

the main winning point of Dell is their after sales service

specs wise, pretty much similar to every other IPS panel monitors

Hey guys, which one is a wiser choice?

the Dell S series S2340L 23" or the Dell UltraSharp U2312HM

both price almost similar, both IPS, but U2312 does not have HDMI connection. Thats my only concern. Any difference between using VGA and HDMI?

Much appreciated!

Go for U2312HM.

If you need HDMI connection, get DVI to HDMI adaptor, no loss in signal and quality

Confirm 100%

Still if budget allows, U2312HM is a good one. go PM lingloong, he has good deal for this monitor.
