Hey guys, need advise,

planning on buying Monitor for my PS3, I found out Dell S2240L is good deal.
http://accessories.ap.dell.com/sna/product...0021&redirect=1

But the problem is, I find out the review said it's to glossy! Do you guys have any idea on any others monitors at almost same price and specs?  icon_question.gif

Min specs : HDMI, Full HD, Audio Out & <5ms

PS : Sorry if post in wrong thread.

Dell U2312HM IPS monitor but comes without HDMI output. Is HDMI output a must?

Nice... biggrin.gif

But how is the quality for gaming?

I've seen similar specs on IPS234V model with best review, but no review for IPS237L yet

I owned a 42inch plasma tv before which I used for pc gaming along with wireless keyboard, mouse and xbox controller setup. Currently I'm on U2713HM dell monitor. If you are planning to use the monitor as a pc monitor, get the 27 inch. If you are doing console gaming, I would likely no go anything below 42 inch.

yup that monitor is really glossy, saw a 24 and 27 inch display in All IT lowyat. The image it produce is beautiful but the reflection of yourself will turn you down. Try looking some other alternative. There should be alot more better monitor that isn't glossy.

you need to control your room lighting. i am using glossy lcd panel almost 5 years and i never see my face appearing on the screen wink.gif

less brightness used for glossy monitor, thus can save a little amount of your electricity wink.gif

yeah i agree
i also think that it is best to go for the most gloosy screen in the market if lighting is not an issue smile.gif

hmm.gif looks to be a pretty decent monitor

but at the price of RM528 for a 22" monitor its too pricey

not to mention, they didnt state is it TN or IPS panel

you can also consider
LG's IPS234V RM539 <-- IPS panels with great colour reproduction and viewing angles
LG's IPS224T RM419 <-- IPS panel
Dell's S2240L RM499 <-- IPS panel also icon_idea.gif but have glossy screen

hello everyone,
i know that this is a common question but i cannot really find any actual answer from googling whistling.gif

ive got a samsung s23b350 monitor and currently using vga

will the vga lower the actual performance?
the response time is rated at 2s will it be lower by the use of vga?
other stuff like color and resolution

will hdmi be a better option?
i want the best out of this monitor! biggrin.gif

appreciate your replies icon_rolleyes.gif

i wonder why benq gw2450 is not that popular
its 24", matte, va display, deep blacks, great contrast better than ips and only 580 from lowyat seller.
