dear experts...
i have a question here...was checking out on Dell 30" monitor and looks like the native resolution is 2560 x 1600. Question is if i am watching a normal AVI movie file, will it look very bad and pixelated ?
currently i'm using 22in with 1680 x 1050 native resolution and even though i use the normal 664 x 268 movie file, when i use full screen, although not sharp, but the quality is still very acceptable...
just wondering if this will not be the case if i change to 30 in with higher native resolution...
appreciate inputs...
also, i was thinking of using the 30" for Xbox gaming as well but then from other forum, i noticed that we have to change the screen resolution setting on Xbox...any users here got experience using PC monitor for console gaming?
thanks a million in advance!

Hi motel266, I read from other forums that some dell ultrasharp monitors will have blank display when connect to console like xbox... Due to resolution compatible issue... Any dell users here successfully connect to xbox? Thanks! P/s: i love to have mkv HD also but takes a long time for me to get it due to slow speed... QUOTE(motel266 @ Dec 23 2012, 11:51 AM) it will look very bad and pixelated if still watch avi with low birate. (avi is history for me ) why not look for mkv or mp4 much more better imo. try to search for fullhd monitor than u can throw away ur 22in monitor ni 1680 reso. no console gaming wise on pc monitor not much different but picture will go sharp and sweet if u on target to those dell ultrasharp series monitor

your 42in plasma has lower resolution than the PC monitor probably? i read comments that for high resolution PC monitor, xbox got problem..display black screen...can help confirm? QUOTE(ashburn98 @ Dec 26 2012, 11:00 PM) I owned a 42inch plasma tv before which I used for pc gaming along with wireless keyboard, mouse and xbox controller setup. Currently I'm on U2713HM dell monitor. If you are planning to use the monitor as a pc monitor, get the 27 inch. If you are doing console gaming, I would likely no go anything below 42 inch.

any user here can confirm if LCD monitor with higher than 1080p resolution can work with Xbox 360?
i'm thinking of getting a LCD monitor to share between my PC and Xbox...but i've read reports that the LCD screen will turn black when connected to Xbox...due to Xbox can't support up to 1440 resolution or something like that....
thanks for your help in advance....

QUOTE(djlah @ Sep 9 2013, 11:13 AM) if your room lighting location not suitable, then better avoid glossy screen. if you still looking for budget panel, may try to check AOC demo, model: i2769Vm AH-IPS 27" RM1000

hi all,
i'm thinking of getting a 27" monitor and hook it up with my desktop PC as well as my Xbox 360...
U2713HM looks to be a pretty decent choice but it only has 1 HDMI port, else I was thinking to connect HDMI from both my XBOX and desktop PC to the monitor....
any other choices i have out there that will make the connection easy?
or i may just need to plug in and out the speaker output between the monitor and my desktop PC...
hmm...thanks!

QUOTE(djlah @ Feb 1 2014, 03:50 PM) so you need dual HDMI ports for your convenient. thereĀ several 27" IPS choice from ASUS, Acer, LG and AOC. I vote for AOC i2769Vm Oh..U2713HM apparently when use hdmi can only display 1080p and not native resolution ohhh...
