im using AOC..aoc e2243fw2k. not bad for a tn panel, high contrast ratio.. if u play fast paced game like crysis2, mw3, mw2, u will love the feel, vibrant colours due to 2ms & 50m contrast ratio biggrin.gif

Thanks for the reply smile.gif

But how about the build quality?

3) Samsung S20B300B (LED) at RM325
4) AOC E2051F (LED) at RM349

(prices quoted from All IT)

also, i would like to know some feedbacks abt the product quality too hmm.gif like build quality, colour display, etc etc

If bang-per-buck then of course choose the cheapest one, BenQ in that list. Other candidates are Acer S200HL LED (RM299) and BenQ G2025HD (RM279), prices are from Viewnet. Make sure the monitors you are going to buy has DVI input... tongue.gif

For the feedbacks, you will have to wait for people who have bought those monitors to comment here... icon_rolleyes.gif
*
All of them have VGA and DVI output. But is the brand BenQ reliable? Cos i would like something that can last at least 3 years without breaking down

If no one purchased it before then ill ask which brand would be the most reliable one then tongue.gif
I have two friends using Samsung monitors, they gave me good reviews. But of course ill try look for cheaper ones brows.gif

If money was no object id grab Dell instead biggrin.gif

I think I've mentioned before about the good apple and bad apple analogy when it comes to longevity. Very much depends on your luck actually. Similar to dead pixels (factory defect)... icon_idea.gif

Even if you bought a Samsung monitor, the panel itself may not be Samsung. As I've fixed lots of LCD monitors before, Samsung monitors also uses panels from AUO, Chi Mei, ChungHwa, Hannstar, etc. tongue.gif

If money was no objection, you would be looking to grab 30-inch Apple Cinema Display... brows.gif
*
So ended up ill have to hope not to get a lemon unit sweat.gif

hmm true.. the panels may not be from samsung itself hmm.gif

pergh drool.gif RM3k++ wei brows.gif

Ya.. So u mean samsung price higher but quality lower compare to dell right?
*
i wouldnt say quality lower, samsung price higher cos i heard they say they use diff panel than the usual TN panels. (sorry no SOS for this cos cant rmb where i read it from)

but in terms of vs against IPS, i'd say IPS is still winner. add in with Dell's after sales support, lagi worth the money to buy Dell's monitors

how about LED TV 40INCH 1920X1080 For PC can get text clear ?
*
you can check based on the PPI(pixels per inch)

but usually the 40" which uses 1920x1080 reso will have a lower PPI than a 23" with 1920x1080 reso

i take Sony led tv 3d 40inch whare to check PPI(pixels per inch) i did find sony tv still no found PPIĀ  rclxub.gif
*
theres a formula to calculate PPI, but i cant rmb. hmm.gif

Again, TVs are usually limited to 1920x1080p resolutions, which gives you 2013600 pixels. the more pixels on the screen, the better

in summary, higher PPI means better, clearer pictures, and pixels are not noticeable which gives the screen a sharper image than blocky ones

but im not saying using TV as a monitor is bad.. just that when trying to view texts only is bad. youll be straining your eyes alot. in terms of gaming, no difference unless youre squinting right in front of the screen xD

Not quite true... a 40" 1080p or 23" 1080p is more of a matter of distance to the display and weather you have limited eye focusing range.

a 40 inch is for a wider audience enjoyment (family).... while a 23" may be just limited to 1....

This is a rough analogy (with good eyesight)

What you can see with 20" and 3 feet equals to 40" at 6 feet, meaning if you can seen 1000 text (equally with both)
*
True, distance matters

Like how TVs are used for med distance usage and monitors are close distance usage. But ive seen before people displaying texts on TVs. Its very pixelated and small as its been stretched sad.gif (or maybe my eyes are not good enough)

Of course get the Dell U2312H brows.gif

I doubt there will be ghosting unless you have extremely sharp eyes xD

Guys, recently just got a mini DP > DP port from ebay.

Last night tried it between my M14X and U2312HM.
At first it was ok. After that, the screen will start flickering then in the end, non-stop.

Then I googled and found quite a number of this case happened to Dell's ultra sharp monitor.

Now not sure whether is the cable prob or monitor >.<
*
even if its monitor problem, call Dell ask for replacement.

im sure as Dell, there wont be any replacement problems laugh.gif
