wow haha nice, me also hav LG since 2010. the monitor still alive n working. I couple it with Dell using extended display option in windows.
Ur monitor usage r similar with me, also using it for ps3 gaming. hdmi port is really important if we hav a console...hdmi + an audio jack is a bonus.
About the lack of hdmi in Dell, yes I agree cos in mid price range i saw only S series have offer hdmi input.. thats why i take the S series.

So anyway, enjoy ur new monitor bro.  smile.gif laugh.gif

thanks bro, the Dell S series is nice too thumbup.gif

if i were u i consider a dell E2414H cos of its 24inch screen. its always convenient to have bigger screen. i think for its price, its worth it, the color quite decent too smile.gif
but if u search for better color, get an IPS.

Dell usually order online, unless you want to have a demo unit shown at shelf.

TN panel. IGZO>IPS>>>>>>>>>TN.

Hence the 1ms. Good try though for getting 4K mainstream. It's hard enough getting folks moving up from 1920x1080 to 2560x1440.

same tech as their IPS 29 at 2560x1080.

definitely going to get this. Should expect dell to do a Ultrasharp version of this panel.

already addicted to 29.

Panel
OLED vs IPS vs S-IPS vs TN

Backplane
IGZo TFT vs a-Si TFT

Color Depth
10bit > 8bit+2bit FRC > 8bit > 6bit+2bit FRC

Igzo on IPS/TN .. benefit is just power saving and slimmer screen for higher res.

You can if you buy from teng shop. His price is 1.1k - 1.3k. Another alternative is Korean monitors. laugh.gif rclxms.gif

Guys, can suggest me a monitor with a budget around RM850?
Primarily for gaming, watching movie as well as doing Word/Excel.

Currently eyeing for Dell U2414H, but need more choices before I can make up my mind.
I'm not that tech savvy towards monitors and hope to get the best from my budget.

Any suggestions are welcome. The cheaper the better tongue.gif
