i can only think of these two (or three)

Dell U2913WM RM1579 (Dell U2713HM is RM1749)
AOC i2769VM RM999 (AH-IPS, thin bezel but 1080p :hehe)
*
That's the reason I was having a hard time finding 27" Monitor under RM1200.

1920x1080p at 27" ?

Might as well settled on 1080p, At least I can get 27" satisfaction on Movie, and I tell myself is not that bad play games at 27" 1080p.

Currently Dell S2740L in on the list, do recommend other model.

how much teng quote for 5 years warranty? you're right, monitor no international warranty. but you should be no problem just go to JB?

Only problem for me is, I need teng to send this to Kelantan and then fly back to SG with the monitor as hand-carry (which I am still not sure if I am allowed to), and if anything wrong, to call Dell courier to meet me at JB on weekends. The story is a bit long but yeah, more tedious than to just pay more and less warranty in SG (which is actually quite a bit of a loss to bear with).

*Teng quoted me at RM830 for 3 years and RM900 for 5 years which is seriously awesome, I am just finalizing on my contact details and hopefully a new monitor in Kelantan this CNY biggrin.gif

I got it from Dell at RM828.90 with 5-year warranty brows.gif

If you want 1440p 27", probably your options are those Korean monitors from eBay, e.g QNIX, X-Star, Crossover. Those biggies have S-IPS / AH-IPS panels. brows.gif

^tri-monitor aint quite a good thing. GPU power to drive tri-reso and the most annoying thing of all, thick bezel in between. But with the latest dell intro ultra thin bezel, it looks sexy again to go multi monitor. wub.gif
but i'll juz wait for more affordable 60hz 4k 27-30" in the future (5years + down the road?).

I think 670gtx should be enuf besides when it comes to gaming its back to 1 mon.

Dell quote me U2414H with 5 year warranty at RM921 include delivery. Whereas teng quote me with 5 years warranty plus delivery to Sarawak at RM 910.

How jimmy.soo can got it from Dell at RM828.90 with 5-year warranty?

As of now the price does not really fluctuate as I believe the model is got introduced here, reason being I got it cheaper is because of the friend recommendation. Hope that clarifies blush.gif

I think there's a limitation on how many units can be recommended by an employee.

Just received today 23/1/2014 my Dell P2314H monitor from NCT Logistics.

Ordered on 13/1/2014 from Teng. Highly recommended seller, friendly & helpful, fast response.

Reach my place (from Penang to Kota Kinabalu, Sabah) within 8 workings days(promised to allow 4-8 working days). Teng also helped me to call and expedite the order and informed them to deliver it earlier before 24/1 because I am going outstation on 24/1, and the monitor successfully delivered on 23/1/2014. rclxms.gif rclxms.gif rclxms.gif

Review come out for u2414h, looks like a really good purchase. good job to dell and LG Display for keeping performance even when using slim bezel

http://pcmonitors.info/reviews/dell-u2414h

If I wait a little while, maybe i will purchase u2414h instead of benq ew2440l VA panel monitor, but benq offering aint that bad as it good as movie watching experience were great (perform similar to good lcd tv, good black level, quite natural color after calibrate), buy either of this two monitor is fine anyway

only AH-IPS have 23.8" model, both e-ips and 6bit+frc AH-IPS are quite similar in performance (both have 14ms G2G response time and little better gamut on AH-IPS)

There are two variant of 23.8" model which is normal version (used on dell p2414- LG Dusplay- LM238WF1-SLA1 ) and slim bezel (used on dell u2414h - LG Display LM238WF2-SSA1 )

Is this some kind of first world problem?

Display port with 16:9 + nvidia = Limited Range RGB 16-235’ instead of ‘Full Range RGB 0-255’

http://pcmonitors.info/reviews/dell-u2414h

Nvidia seems doesn't like 1920*1080 resolution going through displayport. It will not detect as PC, instaed of HDTV resolution.

What the hell? Im going to purchase this monitor soon.

HDTV preset resolution will conform the REC709 standard color gamut, which is 16 > 235. 16 being black, 235 being white. This is also called limited range. Blu-ray, consoles and hdmi appliances all using this color gamut.

While PC standard/VESA have full range from 0 > 255. Display port is VESA standard. But it seems nvidia drivers has bug. 1920x1080 is NOT a VESA standard, it is a HDTV standard. That is why nvidia driver pening.
