QUOTE(ideaplus @ Jul 6 2025, 06:05 PM) Negative for my case. My application had been rejected twice, even though I had my salary & bonus credited consistently for more than 10 years. To clarify, your salary and bonus also credited into Alliance Bank and they still reject your application? Damn that's really strict.

QUOTE(aurora97 @ Jul 6 2025, 05:40 PM) hellloooo... want to check if anyone encountered this. I have no prior banking relationship with Alliance. No defaults on loans or credit cards; all paid on time. I meet all the criteria for applying for AVI but got rejected, which is a bit puzzling to me. Has anyone encountered this situation before? If yes, will having a bank account with Alliance Bank make it easier for the credit card application to be approved? I am their Premier Banking customer also took me 1.5 month to finally got approved after got requested many documents

QUOTE(xiaomoon @ Jul 7 2025, 09:15 AM) alliancebank banker told me to submit BE, my salary is lower than 5k per month but my BE is above 60k(because of bonus), 1 time aprroved I thought a consistent income would be an advantage in applying for CC, and moreover, this consistent salary is credited into their bank account. Obviously, it is not, or just an individual case, perhaps

Alliance Bank is the most difficult bank that I have dealt with for a credit card application. You can search my posts in this thread if you're interested in learning about my struggles. That was back in 2022. Although I eventually got it, the process was the worst of the worst and had the lowest limit among all my other cards from other banks.

They even made me travel all the way to the branch for verification.

The only card that gives higher limit than Alliance, is SC. This post has been edited by eternity4av: Jul 8 2025, 11:03 AM

I was told here even to ask for CL increase is also troublesome, so I just live with the little limit.

Then it's good for you, because for me, they requested me to be present to be in their branch and worst still need me to type on their computer for verification.

Same story for my case. I've got cards from Maybank, PBB, Ambank and Affin before. Alliance is the most troublesome one. Tons of verification to do despite sending all the required docs during application. In the end also have to do thumbprint.... luckily my agent was willing to travel to my house for this. The whole application process took like a month to be finally approved.
And this was despite me being a customer with Alliance before... had a personal loan with them that I had already fully settled

Just make use of shopee pay + spaylater whenever possible Also depending on your monthly spending habits. If your max budget per month only 2k obviously it's hard to spend 3k This post has been edited by ZeneticX: Jul 8 2025, 07:08 PM
