QUOTE(LostAndFound @ Mar 11 2025, 11:27 AM) Huh, at 5x points earning then the worth is less than 1%. Okay la, just get the cashback for applying then can cancel di. You should aim for 8x for the best value. Some will aim to redeem miles using this for higher ROI. This post has been edited by jdachum: Mar 11 2025, 03:59 PM |

QUOTE(LostAndFound @ Apr 2 2025, 02:58 PM) Airmiles calculation a bit more complex but without any promo redemption I calculate as about 2.xx% worth (assuming enrich 4 sen per mile)? For Enrich miles redemption, the ROI is around 2-6%. Can achieve higher ROI if you managed to get some good promo such as 20% Redemption Bonus + 10% Enrich discount LostAndFound liked this post

QUOTE(ZeneticX @ Apr 8 2025, 12:03 AM) 4.7k from Lazada. I converted to 12 months installment. Transaction was made on 26th March. Since you only got it since Feb, which means 61k TBP is for the month Feb and March. Assuming you only have 1 card from Alliance, the max TBP you can get from 8x is 96k TBP (48k ewallet + 48k online) in that 2 months. At this point I have total 61k tbp in my account, earned from my Feb and March statement. My statement is 12th of every month. Currently my tbp only left 22k The purchase shouldn't affect my tbp at all Unless there things here I don't fully understand yet Do you mind telling us how much and how you paid on that 2 months? |

QUOTE(ZeneticX @ Apr 8 2025, 12:04 PM) Gave another call to CS to follow up on my case Okay, this can make sense. according to them the points are deducted for the installment beause any conversion to installment will deduct points UPFRONT from your existing points once statement is released the correct points should be reflected back. This is such a weird mechanism to me and I hope it's true One thing I like about Alliance CS is they are very responsive. Just that their TBP calculation not straightforward haha. Before the changes last year Nov, if you exceeded the 3k cap, they will still calculate as 8x, but will deduct the 7x on the excess in the next statement. Right now, it shows in the same statement month. |

QUOTE(ZeneticX @ Apr 18 2025, 11:02 PM) That means it's unconfirmed information I confirm paying back SPayLater bill with CC is considered as online payment. Maybe someone can confirm if paying using credit card directly to SPayLater is consider online transaction I use Shopee Pay, Grab, TNG ewallet so I'll max out the RM3k ewallet limit almost every month I maxed out my ewallet 3k, hence using SPaylater for the online 3k ZeneticX liked this post

QUOTE(KinniHan @ Jun 13 2025, 07:30 PM) Does anyone experience point got rounded down? I saw my latest statement got rounded down 139K points Probably the exceeded the 3k cap for either online or ewallet. Instead of 8x for the excess, they remove 7x which is what you see under the Redeemed/Round down column KinniHan liked this post

QUOTE(aurora97 @ Jul 6 2025, 05:40 PM) hellloooo... want to check if anyone encountered this. I am their Premier Banking customer also took me 1.5 month to finally got approved after got requested many documentsI have no prior banking relationship with Alliance. No defaults on loans or credit cards; all paid on time. I meet all the criteria for applying for AVI but got rejected, which is a bit puzzling to me. Has anyone encountered this situation before? If yes, will having a bank account with Alliance Bank make it easier for the credit card application to be approved? aurora97 liked this post

QUOTE(KinniHan @ Jul 16 2025, 04:08 PM) Hmm for this is very personal, some people prefer cash and money sitting in bank account is better. But if you are just referring to "value" itself. I think spending by card is slightly better? Not sure where you can get Enrich point at RM0.08-0.138 based on your RM94 and RM54 value. Best enrich value is at about RM0.04-0.05 which you get from redeeming flight tickets.Exanple visa rate is 1%, alliance bank takes 1.25% so total will be 2.25% of your bill. Means RM 1000 bill will become RM 1022.50. But 1022.50 will gain you around 680 enrich point by new revision rate of Alliance VI, while enrich point worth around 0.8-20 sen and we take median as 1.4 sen per point it worths around RM 94 or as low as RM 54. Some may think its worth, some may think why shouldn't it keel that 22.50 in my bank account instead? So if you don't mind spending a bit more, then card is not really that bad in term of value. Its all about your financial and spending behaviour. Back to the original question. It is either you spend RM1000 cash and don't get anything OR Spend RM1022.50 and get 680 Enrich points. This means paying 22.50 for the 680 Enrich points. Value you paid for this is RM0.033, which is actually quite close to the actual value of Enrich points. So, it is not really worth it using Alliance VI for overseas transaction. Usually we try to pay as little as possible at around RM0.02 or less. If you want to go for overseas spending, then UOB may be the best one as it gives the best RPM rate. crixalisrox liked this post

QUOTE(crixalisrox @ Jul 28 2025, 09:24 AM) My eWallet limit of RM3,000 has already been maxed out. I'm now considering fully utilizing 3K online transaction through SPayLater. Based on posting date, which means yesterday is actually the last day to make any payment. No early settlement feeJust to confirm — is the TBP awarded based on the posting date rather than the transaction date? I have a transaction to make on 30 July. If I use SPayLater and then choose the “Pay Early” option via ShopeePay with VI, will there be any early settlement fees from Shopee? I've just enabled the SPayLater feature for my account, but unfortunately, it's a bit late for me to use it with VI. I'm planning to apply for a VCC to continue using this method going forward. Bonus for me, can keep another year for lounge access. [attachmentid=11516490] crixalisrox liked this post
