hahah then unifi>maxis la  brows.gif  brows.gif

still unclear whether want to cut off my streamyx 1.0 then go for

1) unifi
2) Maxis fiber
3) streamyx 4.0 - another forumer chose this instead of unifi, speed very fast according to him  biggrin.gif

maxshit is too inconsistent... if u notice, currently(now) the connection is starting to slow down... lag while posting in lowyat

so this cycle of shit is happening every weekend... the maxshit server is overload and unable to handle heavy traffics during peak period

so be prepared to enjoy slow speed this weekend... yet again!

anyway, on the light side, let's enjoy some funny videos on p1 :-
http://www.p1.com.my/bizvideos/

wah, this p1 got 30 day money back guaranteed some more... if maxshit offer 30 day money back guaranteed, i am sure 90% of subscribers will say bye2 and run away!

now tis is vy vy weird, i can nvr get ur kind of dl speed. the maximum i can get is only 200kbps+ in mediafire. now tis is ridiculous, subscribed to maxis home fibre 10mb bt get tis kind of funny dl speed. mad.gif

can someone pls enlighten me wat shud i do? is thr any settings or so to get faster dl speed?
*
I don't think it is weird at all. You are downloading from file sharing sites like Mediafire and they often cap the connection speed. It is not Maxis that is throttling your speed down but Mediafire is not giving you that sort of bandwidth. You can never expect 1MB/s from file sharing sites.

If you download from nVidia, Microsoft, etc and it's giving you 200KB/s then there might be a problem.

Referring to http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/MediaFire, Mediafire does not enforce waiting times for downloads, limit simultaneous downloading, or set bandwidth limits.

Yes, I am having the same problem (disconnected issue) as well. One day down few times, and it continue for several days. I have ask maxis what is the solution for this, and the 2nd level (technical support) told me that no solution for long time. As they cannot control at all. Everything is under TELEKOM control. If u want stable Internet, better get Unifi. Yours can terminate the Maxis Home service, as they can't guarantee the down time (this is what the technical support team told me!!!)
I agree that when I use the provided phone to call maxis hotline (123), everytime I need to wait for at least 10-20 min before someone pick-up the call. Everytime when they refer to someone, I have to wait another 20-30mins. Since they can not guarantee the level of service, u can terminal the service without paying penalty. if maxis ask you to pay the penalty, then u can appeal thru the consumer tribunal court.

Unfortunately you are getting the wrong information smile.gif Imagine you're hosting files in a server with 100Mbps connection. If only 100 users are downloading from your server, I will get a very fast speed. However if there are 10,000 users simultaneously downloading from your server, do you think it will still be full speed? When this happens, you need to manage the connections and download. Therefore you need to throttle speeds (for example on some files which has more users downloading compared to files that has lesser users downloading).

Maybe you can try using a 3rd party router? I'm using Mikrotik since day one, no router issues but only Maxis connection issues, lol
