may i know if that cable from tm broken...they will change a new 1 or just samsung and use again?
*
in my case, after the cable broken, its still long enough to reinstall back. no replacement so no extra charge.
dunno if need to pull new cable from DP nedd charge or not.

bro, can you clarify this? you mean you can make/receive call using a non-voip phone plugged to the phone 2 port if the huawei ONT? no setup needed?
*
you need to use any phone port of the thomson router. not the ONT.

not to worry to much about this, especially if your house is far from their target audience usually the people in town....

Just plug high gained USB Wifi adapter into the thomson router? Need any configuration?
*
bro, i think you misunderstand what he does liao...
the usb wifi adapter is for p.c or laptop not the thomson router.
thet high gain USB wifi adapter(the wifisky) is for replace the existing wifi card or adapter u r having on ur laptop or p.c that have weak signal reception.
as for thomson router u need to plug in and configure 1 Wifi Access Point(the linksys) to take over the wifi function on the thomson router.

LOL, finally finished my installation.

1.45PM
Surprisingly TM people arrived earlier than Maxis guy.
2.00PM
They went around my house and did some technical job.
2.05PM
Maxis guy is here! WOW! I thought I appointed 2.30PM lol.
2.10PM
Maxis guy told me my town house considered "condo/apartment" due to the port is all connected in a room. (and I always thought my townhouse considered as landed property)
2.30
Setup modem / router / phone.
2.35
After troubleshooting the phone, everything worked fine.
2.45
TM guy left
3.00
Maxis guy speedtest for me and tell me all the configuration.

3.05
Satisfied customer so far smile.gif downloading from Rapidshare with premium account. Until now I see no disconnection and speed is quite stable from 9xx.xx to 1.4mb
Only complaint is the response time is a bit slow.
And speedtest upload is rather slow on my Desktop? o.O
Maxis guy tested on his laptop and he got very hight speed, around 18mbps.
I got less than 1mb -.-

BUG them.

Email, tweet, call cs & post at maxis forum. I did all that, everyday for 10 days, then they give me an installation date.

Complain to SKMM / MCMC is the final way to go.

Went to maxis center to change my VoIP number, selected the only triple digit number left in the list. 03-A888BCCC.
The maxis guy wanted to charge me RM25 for the change but I told him 1st change is free then he checked something on his screen and said "ok, free."
