QUOTE(Cloud0890 @ May 21 2012, 07:25 PM) Makes me wonder,if its true FSG is trying to hire a young manager who favours fluidity, passing, high tempo football then where would Carroll stand? My feeling tells me that we're not going to see fluid, high tempo hard pressing football from the get go.I can't think of any team emplying this type of football and uses a tall target man such as Carroll that is meant for direct long ball style. Just wondering because I can't see Carroll fitting into that system. Carroll is more of a power type target man unlike perhaps Crouch or Berbatov who are both very skilled and have finesse for their height. If its gonna be AVB, just look at Drogba and Lukaku, I can imagine whats probably gonna happen to Carroll One of the most common mistakes managers can commit is trying to force bunch of players to fit into a system that they are not compatible with. You can't take a Chelsea team and get them to play Brazilian style football as Scholari painfully discovered. Or how Hogdson destroyed a Liverpool team that was built and drilled around movement superiority. Imo, any managers that come in will have a big task ahead of him. Our midfield is cumbersome - it has no pace and not exactly physically imposing. But it has good passing range and engine. Further upfield, we lack real width - Downing is unreliable and the other senior players are thought to be leaving and need replaced. Our back four also lacks pace but it's perhaps the only area in the team not in dire need of major tweaking. Suarez is the the most prized asset in this team at the moment - but i don;t think he's a natural finisher and i think we should be looking to release him of the burden to create chances and scoring goals. Its nice to have that but we should'nt be looking at putting all that weight on just one player. With Carroll, i don't think we've seen the best of him yet. He's not utterly useless because he can be physically dominating when he wants to. I think he has suffered under Kenny and perhaps Kenny is not hte right coach for him - someone like Rafa or maybe even Tony Pulis would more ideal for him. QUOTE(hyperyouth_firepower @ May 21 2012, 08:13 PM) They are in no wise responsible for leaking. We don't want that. just let them do their job. Let them have media silence. It works in our favour, the Liverpool Way of doing things. in transfer wise i dun mind they do behind closed door, but as looking for manager they keep silence its like fans are nothing to them, im not worry about anything just worry about when they release a press statement about our new manager its someone who we never heard of, then we know that we as a fans have been screwed by FSG |

I prefer rafa to take the job , simply because he loves the club and most of the current squad players worked under him b4 this.
AVB is a good idea but I dont think he would be given a lot of times and chances to build the team. |

Spanish forward set for Liverpool return this summer
Spanish forward Daniel Pacheco is set to re-join Liverpool this summer after being rejected by both Rayo Vallecano and Atletico Madrid, reports talkSPORT. The 21-year-old was loaned out by Liverpool to Atletico Madrid at the start of the season who in turn sent the player out to Rayo Vallecano. If the Spanish under-21 international impressed then Atletico would activate a clause in the loan deal to sign Pacheco permanently. However. Pacheco’s minutes on the pitch have been extremely limited for Rayo with just 11 substitute appearances to his name throughout 2011/12. This means Pacheco, who was signed by former Liverpool manager Rafa Benitez from Barcelona, will return to Anfield where he has a contract until 2014. Pacheco spent some of the 2010/11 season on loan to Norwich City and is due to play in Adam Drury’s upcoming testimonial match. |

QUOTE(Burningsunz @ May 21 2012, 08:53 PM) Manage to pick a few below amongst the many, many post in rb.com. One thing is common in rafa's response is he feels fans should stick together behind the team. QUOTE "The Liverpool needs coaching of our Rafa again and he will be always there for the great club" Response: Thanks for your support, but it is time to stay behind the team. All the best. Virgil Tubbs "Hlong can the disasters especially at home be tolerated? It's time for the second coming of Rafa!" YNWA Response: Hello, thank you again for the support, but as I said before. It is time to stick together behind the team. Thanks. AL, A Rd End Red. "Good Day, Mr Benitez. There are many many questions I'd like to ask, with regards your final day's at our club. Player and owner involvement in your departure would be one. I have heard many rumours regarding Carra, Gerrard & Purslow, which I understand you can't explain here. Your tactical awareness and dedicated analysis of minuet detail is sorely missed! Frightening to think what you would have created with the best part of £75 mil... The one question I do have, which can be answered is, would you ever return? Happy Easter Rafa, to you and your family... Looking forward to the 2nd coming!!! YNWA" Response: Hello, I said before that it is time to stick together behind the team but I appreciate your support.Thanks. We have always been credited as the best fans, the most vocal, the most supportive, even Rafa have told mourino, the special ones isn't him but the Liverpool fans. Below was a response not by Rafa but either an admin there or someone close to Rafa "it's going to be ok mate. relax. Rafa can never say if he has or will be in contact. NEVER. The media just want a story and it is actually none of their business. The new owners want the club to succeed, that is what's important. They will do what they can to the best of their ability. There is no rush for Rafa to return. We want what is best for Rafa as his supporters and what is best for the club as it's supporters. Have some warm milk with honey before you go to bed and think positive This post has been edited by koolspyda: May 21 2012, 09:26 PM |

This is a very good oldies song. Good song for those who are currently very down or emotional, those who just failed or unable to achieve something recently. A song to cheer them up, remind them that there is always a low period of life, an interim down side of life. |

Ajax boss snubbed us as well.... years ago, this job is top job....Now, everyone rejects it... Plus with the yanks' patience level, who would want the job? LOL. Wont be surprised if we promote from internal at the end of the day.

QUOTE(farisq @ May 21 2012, 10:26 PM) Joachim Löw will resign from German national team to join the Liverpool project. Yes you heard it first here nopeeeee he signed a contract extension to lead Germany to the 2014 World Cup. His project to rebuild the German national team with young players and attacking football is only midway through, surely he will want a good finish to it hoping to finally lift the WC. |
