As planned, wife & i went to confirm 408 just now but saleslady revealed those prices to my wife and also claim 2.0 for comfort with soft suspension & lighter steering wheel. And since i am buying the car for her, we end up with 408 2.0  doh.gif

Unlike paultan review that biased to 1.6thp (imho biased bcoz u cant compare the two, its totally different car), the following review comforts me yeahuuu  rclxm9.gif

On 1st look the black dials do look better. However in the dark when you switch on the instrument lights ( or auto on ) the whole cluster of instruments look very classy. I believe the NAs soft suspension will be comfortable. Turbos sports tuned suspension gets quite bouncy above 140 kmh,but that's due to our poor road conditions, not the car.I actually went with the NA in mind, as I read a lot about the Prince engine reliability. After the test drive of the turbo, all my logic thinking and reasoning flew out the window. I was like on drugs and just wanted more, hehehe!
For 16k extra the car brings a lot to the table and I think worth every cent. It's packed with safety features,6speed tranny and an amazing engine.
Never mind, you still got a great car, enjoy it! Ladies will definitely prefer the light steering wheel.

I got 3 recommendations here:
1) V-Kool
2) 3M
3) Huper Optic

Personally prefer Huper Optic as its darkest color among all and warranty JPJ, which means if theres any summon from JPJ due to the darkness color. They will settle it. rclxms.gif
V-Vool has the highest quality of heat protection, but feedback from some users, unable to detect GPS, phone signal and auto gate remote control. shocking.gif

3M quality not bad also, almost the same with V-Kool.
Just that the color not dark enough, thats why I didnt take that. If you don't really mind the darkness of the tinted. I would recommend to take 3M.
Light transmission of 3M -->> 70%
Light transmission of Huper Optic -->> 40%

Many brands in the market. Make sure you get tint,UV and security protection. I got Autogard from Japan. Price for top range is $2400. SA gave me voucher for $400,finally paid $2000. V-cool with this range is almost $3000.

I'm experiencing the rattling sound from right side of dashboard and front left window. The rattling is so noticeable and kind of annoying when I was cruising without the radio on normal federal road. Wondering if anyone is experiencing the same? Will complain to SC during my first inspection. Also, I must say the NASIM assembling work for 408 needs miles of improvement. I noticed that lots of flaws with the assembling work in and outside of the car. Will try to take some photo and post it here to share.

Added on August 22, 2012, 4:26 pmI noticed there are few complaints logged under http://www.facebook.com/peugeotmalaysia about 408 which pending for Peugeot's reply that we should be noticed of.

I can only say its all depends on luck. Ever heard some other brands also have certain bad luck customer that have got a low quality check.
Just a lucky one is that so far those 408 users in this forum have not been experienced that bad so far~
No matter what brand of car you are buying, its all depends on luck!
