Congrats to you, dchan126. Can share with me how you made your choice over what other cars you have tested or evaluated. I'd like to hear ur story if you don't mind sharing it.

Have you tested Mazda3 2.0, Jetta and Focus? Mind sharing your comment for these cars when comparing to 408 NA? Always wonders what's in it for Jetta that's so special that make them sell it at that price other than the 'badge' factor.

The DSG and TSI combination is owning. Supercharge at low RPM, turbocharge at higher RMP. The car can zoom zoom even at low RPM, and this improve the FC also. But sorry that the interior is just too boring for me.

Spot on! On top of that, the TSI + DSG combination has less boost lag, and better throttle response at medium-high speeds, but creeping at low speeds or traffic jam is dreadful. But IF I have the moolah I'd go for TSI+DSG anytime.

Hi just got my new pug 408 2.0. Just want to check with other users if they faced this problem. My SA filled full tank and delivered car with 27 km mileage, now mileage at 275 km and fuel gauge now at half mark of the last bar. Looks like i shall probably hit 350 km for full tank vs official of 8.6L/100km ie 697 km. My fuel is 50% of what is stated. Assuming it's town driving can this be correct ?

Fellow owners hope you can help....!
*
Hi,
My mileage has reached 14577km. The indicator now mostly shows 8.7 L/100km. 85% city driving. Used to reached 11L/100km before 10K service. So don't worry. You'll get it once you have done your 10K service.

Shall we create a new topic as "Peugeot 408 Owner Club"? Or something like that? Actually this tread was meant for 408 spied shot, and TS has gone missing. Just a suggestion.

Your 450 to 500 km is very good for the NA. Did you do any adjustments like the fuel injection ? My SA ss perhaps to check then later says wait fr 2500 km inspection.
*
I didn't do any adjustment la.. just that I don't press hard on the pedal. My speed usually is between 90 to 110 kph. On and Off will drive a bit faster if the road is clear.

But I heard Jetta full tank at RM 110.00 can get 600 - 700km. Seems like more fuel saving than 408.

Nice FC, my 408 can only last for around 500km for that driving mixture.

Thanks P408T for sharing your story, I admit the car can really become an obsession almost like forbidden fruit, once u have taken a bite, others just kinda hard to compare. About the FC, at least it will be better than NA definitely, many folks here also commented that it will improve once over the 1st 10k km.

How about Onlokkia, light_up, RON408 ? What about ur stories?
*
i was upgrading from my wira 1.5 auto, aiming right at c-seg car
tested Elantra, Focus and Civic
Elantra good look, good space, but handling so so only
Focus good look, superb handling, but less spacious
Civic good space, good handling, but not satisfy with it's interior design
all not satisfy doh.gif

one day i pass through a Peugeot showroom, then only know 408 is on sale in Malaysia, tested and very satisfy in terms of everything, buy

never imagine i'll be driving a Peugeot in my life, so far already travel 600km/15days with my 408T, feels great thumbup.gif
