Hi guys, I just booked a 408T last friday, now waiting for financing application/offers. Only offer I got at the moment is 2.44% from Maybank with 9years tenure. From my calculations a 0.1% difference in interest rate for 108mths will amount to about 1k difference, should I just go for the 2.44% maybank or wait a bit more for other banks to offer? Thanks

New 408t alpine white owner here xD

Car is only 2 days old and already clocked 300km coz drove from kl to segamat for work this morning.

So fr tyre noise is a bit unpleasant, maybe bcoz the tyre pressure is too high.

Only prob occured was esp/asr faulty error. Happened when i was cruising normally down the highway after abt 30km, then i had to stop the car at an RnR, shut off the engine, then restart again and the error was gone. But happened again after abt the same 30-50km but i was lazy to stop the car so i just drove with the error and prolly w/o esp/asr. Can this be due to the high tyre pressure?

Already shared somewhere in the earlier pages on iphone's bluetooth prob which is to ask the SC to update the bluetooth firmware of the 408 (iirc)

Anyway i didnt have much leisure time to go to the SC for such small probs so my workaround was i disabled the a2dp streaming protocol and only use the handsfree protocol. Did this for my jailbroken 4s using a cydia app, but i dont think u can for urs..tongue.gif

As much as I want to purchase the abovementioned tuning box (theres a group purchase thread in the aw forums), it only modifies the input & output signals of the ecu, and not a remap. But the good side is that it can easily be disconnected before we send our car to SC to avoid any warranty issues.

More than a dozen people have fitted the tuning box to their thp140 and thp156, but no thp163 yet as far as i know..

Hi Guys...Just got my blue 408T (wifey car actually)on last day of 2012 yesterday and joining in the lion tent!! I'm driving 1.6MD Elantra and the 408T handling is totally different from Elantra, while driving on rough pavement road or those yellow zebra line, i can feel the steering juddering or rather I say.. I can feel the roughness on the road where as my Elantra.. I'm totally numb on the steering.. Is this normal?

Secondly there is a faint juddering whenever I step on the brakes.. I still need to drive around more to confirm this.. but it is this normal?

My steering wheel is slightly on the left and it's not straight align when I'm driving straight road.Last time I'm following on 308 forum @ autoworld and this seems to be a common issue and unresolvable right?

Lastly... Iphone 4S seems not able to connect to the car bluetooth, the moment it get connected, then it will drop off and reconnect again and again~~ Anyone facing this issue with their Iphone

Overall.. I love this car!!! rclxm9.gif

Yes the 408T steering gives more feedback, but somewhat too much. I still prefer this compared to the numbness of the Elantra tho.

I didnt face the brake problem so I cant comment here.

Also faced the steering pull to the left issue and from what i read this is due to the car being originally designed as LHD.

Iphone bluetooth problem, already posted earlier somewhere in this thread before it became a "my car is better than yours" thread.

@jf, That kit would look gorgeous on a white 408, just like the white demo car pic ron showed above. but as u said 3k is too much.

But if u ask me, i'd still get it lol

Andy, I assume the center vent starts to blow warm air when u set the temperature around 23 or 24? Then its the same as my car, and I assume its working as it should, just like lowpro said.

About the air circulation defaults to off whenever u turn on the aircond, idk if theres a workaround to this, but i dont think its too much hassle to press another button to turn the circulation on right? tongue.gif

I noticed my steering sound since day 1, and i believe that its the electric motor doing its work. Its not noticeable though, I can only hear it when its really quiet, usually idling with ac n stereo off

The DSG and TSI combination is owning. Supercharge at low RPM, turbocharge at higher RMP. The car can zoom zoom even at low RPM, and this improve the FC also. But sorry that the interior is just too boring for me.

Spot on! On top of that, the TSI + DSG combination has less boost lag, and better throttle response at medium-high speeds, but creeping at low speeds or traffic jam is dreadful. But IF I have the moolah I'd go for TSI+DSG anytime.
