Nice FC, my 408 can only last for around 500km for that driving mixture.

That's good numbers man, I average the same for the same kind of driving tongue.gif

haha... that mileage consider ok la since since it is being driven quite furiously...

if it were to be toned down, i believe it can get another 70 km +/- per tank...
hmmm... but hard la to drive sedately considering u have more power then average on your right foot right from idle to the redline...

Hi,
My mileage has reached 14577km. The indicator now mostly shows 8.7 L/100km. 85% city driving. Used to reached 11L/100km before 10K service. So don't worry. You'll get it once you have done your 10K service.

So reassuring to know that. Thanks for the info and shall anxiously lok forward to the 10k service. Any other tips .?

Congrats to you, dchan126. Can share with me how you made your choice over what other cars you have tested or evaluated. I'd like to hear ur story if you don't mind sharing it.

I have tested Focus, Mazda 3, 308T & 408T. Finally decided to go for 408T for it's spacious and solid interior... and the TURBO.. thumbup.gif

what tire size and what type of tire you're looking for?
before cny i had this issue also.
right tire leaking, fix it, next day left tire leaking, fix it, both leaking air.
all the tires also near retirement age and suspect rim took too much famous holes in kl.
change new rim and tire cost me 1700 sweat.gif

If any of you are wondering where the new fan thread went, it is located at the Car Clubs section, located just below Tyre Talk. It is at the top of the Fast n Furious page. Thanks.

im actually am looking for a good new car..1stly ive been targeting 308T, but after test 408T, im leaning towards 408T biggrin.gif
But considering if 208 will enter the market around this year, i would wanna buy that instead bcoz it should cost less & good enough for me..
What do u guys think? Should i get 308T or 408T now?
Or just wait for 208??
Really in a dilemma now.. Please help

if price is a factor, then wait for the 208 which is some time this year. if size is important, and price is not so much an issue, then your choice of hatch or sedan will answer your question. but, do know that the 208 is a b-segment car so it is easily smaller than the 308.

im single & space is not much of an issue.. I love the handling & quality of 408, adore 508..
im only willing to pay for 408, that makes my choice of either 408 or 308, now..
with the discounts given now, its so tempting to get 408 now..

at the same time i also realised that 208 is coming near..
from the reviews, from experts & my personal, im gonna love 208 even with its smaller size, which i dont think ill have a problem with since im still single..

Its either buy now, or buy later for me..
Now 408, or later 208?
Huhu dilemma...

Hi bro, first of all, we have move to a newer thread:
http://forum.lowyat.net/topic/2682291/+880
it will be better if you discuss over there.

408 = the main selling point is the spacious cabin
308 = I think this suit u better, single with keen to power + handling
208 = a new beauty by Pug, but bear in mind that this is a segment B and expected smaller than 308, maybe the size of VW Polo?! If you prefer a newer design rather than 308, wait for 208. I am sure its worth for the wait.
Cheers

Hi all,

Currently Pug 408 got 5 years free maintenance +RM3k rebate OR RM8k rebate.

Eyeing in this car since early this year. However, still comparing between Ford Focus, Honda Civic, etc. (below RM130k).

I heard user review that 408 got superb handling. What about the the FC?
Any major problems? (battery, brake pad, etc)

hey, to make you more dilemma,
wait for 208 GTI, saw someone wrote it around $120k-130k not sure whether it's coming or not & the price true or not.

i would suggest you to take 408, since only the 408 engine is modified & improved. ( 308 is still the same leaking engine, right ? )

no need think of 208, the engine without turbo, sure no siok, no power. ( but if 208 GTI, that's totally different story )

If you really care for handling, i read some review that, 208 handling is not so good, lose to fiesta.

my 408NA battery went completely flat just now, just lasted 11 months, no warning signs. Service guys arrived abt 1 hr time and got it replaced. He said the original Yokohama battery for 408 got some defect problems and got reported case of battery cought fire etc. but still the assebmbly of this battery is continued. Mine now is changed to Delcor.
