QUOTE(Miurra @ Jul 23 2012, 04:06 PM) not everyone likes mmo, it might not suit u, or u're having abit of culture shock if u're new to the genre. I am guessing i am kinda new to this genre which im not sure whether i just dont like the genre or i have not fully understand what the game can offer.i enjoy mmo game mainly because of community, u get the chance to interact with almost anyone in the server/realm. this is my 1st BWE and it had met my expectation so far, will have to see how the end game content goes (the gw1 gives me quite abit of confidence) the PVE dynamic event system is a very nice idea, no typical "kill x mobs, go to x location, gather x things", ks-ing bullshit etc in other mmo PvE dynamic event feels like the typical "kill mobs, defend someone and so on" in a very nicely made chain events. Or just like the Hearts events in a chain of events. Added on July 23, 2012, 4:29 pm QUOTE(takkicom @ Jul 23 2012, 04:18 PM) No doubt that feels badass, I have been doing something similar too.Love the 5th skill that push the enemy away. And it feels satisfying when you manage to do that. Should have gone with ranger instead for the BWE. This post has been edited by Cheesenium: Jul 23 2012, 04:29 PM |

QUOTE(Deimos Tel`Arin @ Jul 23 2012, 04:12 PM) aye, thanks for the feedback! well i played a warrior pve in the first public beta weekend event. i think survivability rate not very good lulz but yeah damage out after level 11 greatly increased due to pumping trait that increases precision means more critical hits with rifle. so basically guardian pve can tank like a boss against most pve mobs? just out heal out tank out survive them? and deng i just realized i have been playing my guardian pvp with 10 less trait points spent. http://www.gw2build.com/builds/simulator.p...219.0.0.0.30.30 QUOTE(Defallen @ Jul 23 2012, 04:21 PM) Can take some damages, but definitely not tanking like other mmo. guardian is all about reactionary defense...@takkicom, yes! Plus, you still gain skill points after 80 like in GW1. Skill points are needed for some craft or forging too (Legendary items) Edit : They updated it on wiki yesterday. http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Skill_point timing the aegis the right time and blocks will be the key between dying or not... u cant outheal damage unfortunately remember: there is no holy trinity is GW2... if u dun dodge, aegis or block; u will still die as fast as any other profession out there |

dynamic events is ok for lower levels, but the higher level maps are so empty that you'd have to solo the events.. and most are impossible with the high ping

Yea, i know that but at the end, it is still just the quest that ask you to do a range of the typical stuff in an area. I do think it is a nice feature as i can do different task when i replay the event.this is something new to me, coming from wow, aion, lineage2, and few others minor mmo's. |

Rather than going specifically for the hearts, I just explore randomly and join any event I see. Like protecting a place from Centaur, then there was a kill the champion troll which I did twice, killing a queen wasp. At times I just go find places I can get skill points or find vista, while doing that will randomly stumble into event.

i remember i read somewhere in the dev post that the more elaborate dynamic events will be available in the higher lvl area
maybe the dynamic events in the starting zone are meant to be easy to introduce players into the whole system of dynamic events... btw any ele's having a good time in spvp? i find it kinda hard now compared to bwe2, scepter/dag build used to be very powerful but now it seems the game have shifted to dag/dag again... QUOTE(cressalve @ Jul 23 2012, 04:09 PM) Decided to cancel my physical copy of GW2 and will proceed to buy the digital copy. Don't wanna end up in such a hassle to transfer to the right region. May I know whats the hassle that we will b facing? ThanksI think I'll be rolling a Norn ranger in launch day. Feels that Norn peeps are more likeable than Sylvari I rolled in the beta. The Norns are so much eager to make a name out of themselves haha I like that, being straight to the point XD And plus, they're such a bada55 Just a thing, do GS ranger damage was nerfed during the BWE3? Can't tell coz I never played the BWE before that. |

QUOTE(law1777 @ Jul 23 2012, 05:17 PM) local dealer/seller are bringing in EU copies of GW2according to ANet if you buy EU version you have physically be located in EU to be able to log in to the game Malaysia is categorized as under US region so you need to US version to be able to log in. Someone did mention if you get EU version and if you can't log in, you can contact ANet support and have them change your region from EU to US but so far nobody has solid evidence that it has been done before.... |

wanna share my experience
this is first game in gw2. its been a long time since i play mmo. gw2 is not like warcraft, its more to hack and slash style. first i roll out melee guardian but i find i lack of dps and also survivability. then i change to scepter/weapon spirit playstyle. it offers more dps (the spirit weapons is OP when 1v1) and survivability but i feels like it still lack of dps because of the scepter skills. ( i suck at melee) then i change to ranger. this profession is a beast! Longbow rapid fire can deal 5k+ damage. I kill alot, survive many times but not kind of soloing. need a partner to take damage for me. quickening zephy + rapid fire = 1/4 enemy hp. i found that using melee is hard to hit enemy in pvp than pve. although using a longsword, still hard. i think i'm suite more in range playstyle. other classes that i tried : Engineer (dual pistol) = lack dps than ranger but more survivability because of the elixir. Thief (dual pistol) = pistol burst spam is good but I'm wasting theft true ability because i dunno use shadow step. btw Greatsword + Shield ![]() This post has been edited by syazwanreno: Jul 23 2012, 06:34 PM |
