Say that i can only have a limited time to try out the Beta Weekened, what race should i play to experience the best early bits in GW2? And what should i play? PvE? Personal Story? PvP?

Okay, i think i'll go with Char then. Kinda interested with playing as "cow man", instead of generic humans again.

Which is the most fun class to play at the moment? Thief? I am thinking of focusing on PvE and WvWvW. Ignoring Personal Story completely.

The thing is, i actually dont really know how most classes work in GW2 as i am looking for a versatile class that is jack of all trades, master or none.

Sea of Sorrows are full, unfortunately. Does that mean i have to pay to switch my home server later on?

I dont see many dynamic events in GW2 and there are a lot of those rather stale one task quest.

Am i missing out something or what?

I am currently at the Char's starting area.

I think i am missing out something. PvE feels a little bit boring for me, for some strange reason, as i cant really find much dynamic events outside the cities. In the end, i just keep doing those Hearts task which gets a bit boring sometimes.

I am in Sanctum of Rall, and it feels empty all the time, which made made me think i am wandering off to the wrong places.

Thank you, sai86 for giving me the BWE3 beta key. Unfortunately, i felt that this game just isnt for me as i just dont find it fun playing.

It could be because i spent too much time on overflow servers and doing all the hearts events. Or it could be i just have no clue on what to do as i never really play MMO.

Hmm, maybe i am getting the wrong impression with the game so far. Is there any way to "visit" other servers without paying that 1800 gems?

i dont remember telling you that i will be going solo in the full game.

Tried WvWvW. Thats something interesting. Raiding supplies have been the best part for me in the whole BWE. Dynamic event has been a bit underwhelming for me, to be honest. It doesnt really chain to the next event often. Most of the time it just finish one quest and then, thats it. It is not as many as i have expected. Could be beta as i found that Asura's starting area has a lot more dynamic events than say Char or Slyvari.

If the temp server transfer thing isnt in the full game, I'll probably going solo even in the full game cause none of my real life friends are moving from D3 to GW2. Tried adding people from LYN, but none of the forumers here are on Sanctum of Rall. Cant get into Seas of Sorrow, which is a bit sad.

Havent tried crafting yet. I think all i have experienced so far are inconclusive. Not sure im buying this game at launch or not.I am total noob, when it comes to MMO, so, i think i have missed out a lot of stuff in this beta weekend.

Definitely playing Ranger or Necromancer at launch. Warrior was kinda boring, until i get those buff spells then it starts to be very interesting.

Really like the Hunger Royale event too, that was really cool. I died because i saw a pile of supplies after killing a couple of red, and when i turn back, i was surrounded by red. And some virtual fireworks at the end.

At the moment, im not sure i want the game or not.

It alright, but what i experienced so far does not give me enough reason to buy it on day 1.

I think it is partly i didnt really like the Warrior class. Melee is kinda boring, but once i change to bow with some buff spells, i find the game a lot more fun.

Warrior tanks very well though but it tend to die very easily when it comes to boss fights or a huge bunch of enemies. Switching range does solve the problem, and switch to melee when you have the chance to go melee, also, this does make the game whole lot fun. Love the fact that i can play as range warrior without any penalty.

I think Wooden Potatoes is right with a problem with the Heart quest. It feels like traditional questing in most MMO but most of the time, certain Hearts areas does not have any other events at all. It is just a check list of tasks to do. I rather remove the markers on the map so that you can discover it on your own.

I am guessing i am kinda new to this genre which im not sure whether i just dont like the genre or i have not fully understand what the game can offer.

PvE dynamic event feels like the typical "kill mobs, defend someone and so on" in a very nicely made chain events. Or just like the Hearts events in a chain of events.

Love the 5th skill that push the enemy away. And it feels satisfying when you manage to do that.

Should have gone with ranger instead for the BWE.

Yea, i know that but at the end, it is still just the quest that ask you to do a range of the typical stuff in an area. I do think it is a nice feature as i can do different task when i replay the event.

Kinda miss my Char now with that ridiculous looking hat.

Damn that cow for tempting me to buy the game now.

Tempted but experience in the beta isnt as good as other playthrough i had seen on youtube.

Could be because there were server issue when i was spending majority of my time playing. Most of the time, i only see hearts quest on the map. Dynamic events arent triggered for some reason. If not, i spend most of the time forever alone in the overflow server.

I have only played a limited amount of period which is kinda inconclusive. Managed to get to level 15 in less than 10 hours. Very hard to judge a open world game in leas than 10 hours of gameplay.

Really like the combat though.
