Hi. I need to ask something. I will be going to Langkawi for 4 days 3 nights. Can I buy liquor immediately upon arrival or I need to wait for 2 days? May sound a stupid question but need to confirm.

For chocolates, kuah town is much cheaper, normally I prefer Haji Ismail..

For Liqour, it's will be The Zon in pantai cenang..

The stretch of road in front of underwater world/zon is close today for the Malaysia Day Celebration..
It's closed from the junction in aseania to around cenang mall area...

So you guys need to park around aseania hotel to walk in..

Does car rental provide GPS? is it drive to safe rd thr?

Langkawi is a tiny island and only a few major roads, so if you have a map, should not be difficult to drive around Langkawi......

Added on September 19, 2012, 3:15 pmYes you can buy liquor when you reached Langkawi and get drunk for the next 4 days, before leaving Langkawi you can buy 1L of liquor per person to bring back home. Anything more you are subject to tax at the custom check points.

has anyone stayed in shirin homestay? read in tripadvisor, saw bad reviews.

Don't buy at airport or jetty. Go to some small kedai cina. Can get cheaper there.

Now is raining season omg.. then wat to do if already book the tour for next day then it heavy rain? Will cancel and refund?
Right now only plan to join maybe 1 full day tour or 2 half day tour, go cable car, duty free shopping and laze around. 4D3N.

For example restaurants like Orkid Ria, Red Tomato, etc.. duty free shopping, buying tour packages, car rental, .....
And are ATMs easily available? The hotel I booked is budget and dont have safe deposit box, so I thinking dont bring so much cash...
