any specific choc shop to recommend?

For chocolates, kuah town is much cheaper, normally I prefer Haji Ismail..

For Liqour, it's will be The Zon in pantai cenang..

The stretch of road in front of underwater world/zon is close today for the Malaysia Day Celebration..
It's closed from the junction in aseania to around cenang mall area...

So you guys need to park around aseania hotel to walk in..

I am a regular to the Island of Langkawi, I rent my car from a local regular, a friendly Chinese guy. Very helpful throughout my stay in Langkawi. If you are still interested in a long period car rental, do let me know, I will try to contact the person for you.
I'll get back to you once I confirm that I'll be there for long term.. Not sure yet

Anyway, thanks bro CHEER :-)

Can try Casa Fina family room but is on top of shophouse. I stayed in their cabin room and its clean, have strong wifi and Coway water dispenser. No breakfast tho.
Location is directly opposite the 24 hours mcD smile.gif
Not bad for the price i paid..

Warning to all those planning to buy Liqour in Langkawi.

1) By law is only one liter per person for minimum 48hours stay. Those saying one hand carry one check in, yes it's possible but at your own risk.

2) You can handcarry for those Domestic flight only.

3) Beware of cheaper than usual deal, always did a survey and check the average prices.

4) Look out for those labeling, the serial number should be clear and not been defaced.

5) Make sure there is custom Duty Free sticker for Liqour bottle. It's illegal to buy or sell a bottle without a custom sticker.

6) Don't make yourself looks like a fool shaking the bottle and looking at the bubble.. Fakes Liqour is not really fakes, most of the time they just mixing it with some other cheaper Liqour. And every alcohol have their own texture and thickness, depends on many factor. So the bubble might be different.

Lastly, you should know your Right and your Product. Don't be cheapskate, it's something you consume into your body. Be a smart consumer.
