Please remember that these things are dangerous because they can be easily confused with real firearms. Unless you got a license of somekind, you can't own or ship these guns to your place. Model guns still fall under the category of 'firearms' ('assault weapon' if it can fire BB pellets) in our country's strict law. Therefore, discussions/threads like "I got guns for sale" or "Where can I get model guns" will most likely get you banned. General discussions about it are allowed however. Then again, the good ol' PM button is your best friend.

wow, the M4A1 got silencer summore.
BB guns can be a weapon easily, metal ball bearings of the same size as the plastic ones can be used as the ammo too! but then again, the quality of these china plastic BB guns.. which is a good thing too |

It would be nice for you to keep your thread clean of replies like "OMG that gun of yours is nice!" or "Wah, u hav license ah?". You don't need to edit those pics, just tell them where you got em'. Of course, at this current time, you had already done so. Anyway, YOU CANNOT OWN REPLICA FIREARMS IN MALAYSIA. The statement that you don't need license or other neccessary documents to possess them only applies to places where gun ownership are widely recognized, practised and more widespread or as stated by the country's own individual law or constitution itself. AFAIK, Philipines is the only country in Southeast Asia where the ownership of replica firearms, airsoft guns as well as real firearms are allowed as their government is based on American constitution. Correct me if I'm wrong on the latter. There are 'other' means of getting them here, but discussing about them will breach the Forum's rules. I just gave everyone a bright suggestion on how to smuggle model guns. Just scan it, Torrent it and then host it on Rapidshare! during secondary i was in the army cadet. every end of year went for the annual camp so during these 7 days we got the chance to shoot real bullets using M16. after the shooting session ends we were forced to angkat sumpah that we didnt keep any live bullets and also didnt bring back any bullet shelves. if anyone take some bring back home and kena tangkap must face the court by himself.

QUOTE(Ge[N]ez @ Dec 29 2005, 01:08 AM) In confirmation of your statement it is actually quite legal in china and HK, they actually have AirWarGames.. similar to paintball but freaking triple the pain, cause it's all bb. As long as they maintain the psi at certain levels it's alright. But again you are not allowed to bring it out in public. Just as collection or in private areas for the games. Bring it in public and risk yourself to be picked up by the 'gong an'. Well, yes. I was referring to Southeast Asia (with the exception of Philipines), but not in some parts of Asia. Airsoft guns can be legally owned and purchased without license in South Korea, Hong Kong and Japan. One of the great things about airsoft guns is the feel of realism. What you're holding in your hands isn't some silly 'child-looking' gun, but true-to-reality replica guns, thus boosting your confidence to play the game as a sort of military simulator, not playing Counterstrike (y'know, hopping around like an idiot while shooting?).Would you care to enlighten me on 'other' means? One LYN member who goes by the name of GhostTwo said that paintball supposedly hurt more than BB rounds. However, the good thing about BB rounds is that it doesn't give annoying stains on your outfit. BTW, if you're asking about 'other' means, it can't be discussed any further, besides telling you the obvious that there are those who could 'bend the rules a bit' and get airsoft guns here. That is all I can tell you. |

![]() The price range for Desert Eagle is from 1.1k to 1.5k (USD), depending on the version of itself. ![]() Also can try to look for the baby of the Desert Eagle family, Baby Eagle. The compact (short frame and barrel) and semi-compact (short barrel) pistols have the same excellent shooting characteristics as the standard (full-size) Baby Eagle and are ideal for shooters with smaller hands. I think you can get katanas from those martial arts shop. If you know the owner well enough to ask for his help to bring in 1 for you.
If I'm not mistaken, it is considered a weapon if its over 6 inches long (sharpened or not). |

But if the G'ment allow us to own firearms i think the purposes of majority malaysians is not just for hobby or collection. These days we can see many crimes happened in our country... |

Darn...is that oak leaves and swords and diamonds on the iron cross ?
Hmmm...looks like Rommel. Niway, its good that we have restrictions here. People here are not like those in US or UK. At least we are more well behaved in a sense...we dun take gun to school and whack a couple of students and teachers and come out front page This sort of stuff are dangerous. If its legal, u can expect to see crime rate going up...skyrocket tat is... Imagine if someone pulls a gun in front of u and ask u to get off ur ride...wat will u do ? It look so real and the wrong move may be ur last move...if its real tat is. If it is a hoax, and u give in to the robber, u must look like a jackass later How come those replicas cost almost as much as the real thing Katanas ??? Why would u want that for ? If its legal, our local gang fights will be even bloodier...(btw if the cutlery excuse dun work, u can always say its for the chicken rice shop or for picking ur nails wan haha If still wanna get gun models the u can have the option for miniature wans la... QUOTE(Jackygwh @ Jan 20 2006, 05:04 PM) I think sometime ago, read that cannot wear police/army uniform but if it's foreign ones should be ok kwa. The whole concept (misguided though) is to prevent impersonation and abuse of power. Get something like marpat and desert dpm's should be ok I guess since a lot of street clothing also follow those patterns. |

sniper, you tested those guns before?
how's the spring action guns? It's the cheapest range in the market right? I'm thinking of getting spring action shot gun or handgun, because i find AEG bb guns are too noisy (refering to cute version). |

QUOTE(Rusty Nail @ Jan 25 2006, 10:39 AM) sniper, you tested those guns before? Tested quite a few of them since a couple years ago..tearing coke cans are fun how's the spring action guns? It's the cheapest range in the market right? I'm thinking of getting spring action shot gun or handgun, because i find AEG bb guns are too noisy (refering to cute version). But the most fun is the KSC Glock 18C...compact size, can use green gas, full auto....split second can empty it's mag on the target di. Seriously thought of getting that but then think of the price+ cost of changing to metal slide (a must for full auto pistols) = banyak mahai. I got a SIG SAUER P228 springer but generally speaking, springer's are much weaker than AEG's or gas bb's. Most most can dent a coke can only while a stock gas block back or full powered stock AEG can cut it into half Less accurate too cos it either dun have or only with fixed (often lari di) hop up. But the most stim springer to get is a sniper rifle...I think by HFC...It's relatively cheap... less than half price of a Marui M4... single shot spring powered....300fps. Can't go wrong with that. Jackygwh: Last time posted before..later go home dig if still got the pics and if weekends go out....then take some pics lor. |

QUOTE(Rusty Nail @ Jan 20 2006, 09:17 PM) omg omg.... Dude guess u watch too many movies liao la. Over here its different. Generally when theres police rule, there is rule of engagement la. ur usual "do not fire unless fired upon" and all those stuff but when u deal with the TDM, a different set of rules apply. It is good for our own good since we sit in a very volatile area. So they will actually shoot at any hostile targets first and ask questions later. Same thing also during military curfews...u go out of house at wrong time, they see u looking wierd or acting wierd, they have the right to drop u. besides in ur case u r considered a valid target as u are wearing a camou. A lot of people say this is excessive and binding but do remember that i mention earlier that we sit in a very touchy location. "Indonesian incursion and Communist Rebellion and not to mention the arms heist a few years ago" I do agree the Malaysian Army is doing a good job keeping this away.but i do think that there's rules of engagement right? even if we were being intruded, the army is not suppose to shoot first unless being shot at. The mod was lucky not to get shot...or even court martialed for presumably going AWOL. Hope u guys dun go mess around. U wanna wear camou, then wear it in town...but not in the jungle area. BTW : The Bundeswehr Camou Pants are very comfortable...have ventilation holes too so that it wont get too hot |

QUOTE(Rusty Nail @ Jan 26 2006, 03:39 PM) No ler..that was the only pic that I could find though I've snapped a bunch last time. For skirmishes, most will use KSC or KJW Glocks or Beretta's since they're a lot more practical and reliable. The DE's are just for sitting in the shelves only. Totally not practical...huge...can't find a holster for them...for that size...it's better to carry a small MP5K or better still.. Glock 18C's or Beretta 93's full auto.... John Woo style. And gas blow back is still the best for pistols...AEG sux's with them. |

QUOTE(Rusty Nail @ Jan 26 2006, 03:39 PM) Thats the whole idea...dead people dun talk...so they dun get into trouble...heheh kidding. Its their turf. It is kill or be killed in the jungle so one has to be very carefull. As u guys know funny things can happen in the jungle. Well if u get shot, there will be no case as u r at the wrong(wearing camou in the jungle) and the soldiers are just doing their duty. Terrorist activities seems to pick up speed around us and I'm sure the government is getting touchy on this too. |

Back in 2004, I purchased tons of M4 Carbines, some MP5s, and a bunch of other 1/6 scale accessories but the airport security doesn't even molest me one bit. They're not that stupid and they could OBVIOUSLY differentiate between 'some grown kid's toy' and 'ultra realistic-looking shizzle'. QUOTE(Rusty Nail @ Jan 31 2006, 10:18 PM) Yeah, about three to four M4s on one hand depending on the size of your palm. I've never heard anyone robbing a bank using 'replica' 1/6th scale firearms to threaten the public and steal millions. The general public will most likely call Tanjung Rambutan than calling the cops if they saw someone doing that |

QUOTE(AMDs-PoOp @ Feb 1 2006, 10:13 PM) Whoa, IINM, you need license for those things here, but other than that, I don't know much. Its considered illegal for civillians to possess those things, unless you have a good reason. Again, I don't know how the hell should you make a case of owning bulletproof protection (go to a Police station maybe?). Better just forget getting them unless you live in USA or something. Replica equipments however, are legal in our country (bought a fake kevlar helmet in KL last year), which means you can get some pretty neat stuff online, IF you have the money and is willing to spend. |

Pleasure's all mine Supposedly to avoid you from having the 'protective' advantage, since most bulletproof materials can stop calibres used by the Police. The ownership of bulletproof vests are restricted only to VIPs or other important individuals. Well, thats as far as I know. To anyone with the knowledge who happen to pass by this thread: can you please enlighten everyone (myself included) further?Whats the prerequisites to attain the license? What if i buy the genuine stuff via online, will i receive it or it will only end up in some customs office. How much did you spend for that fake kevlar helmet, does it look authentic enough? And which part of KL? And your av looks like a port d***head. The fake helmet cost me RM80, bought it at a shop in Berjaya Time Square. Looks good enough, but nothing special. Yeah yeah, my attempt at making a new avatar somewhat fails (thank you MS Paint!), but it's only version 1.0. This post has been edited by Hangmen: Feb 1 2006, 11:16 PM |

What you really want is a browning Hi-Power, highly customizable hand gun, and uses lovely .45 calibre bullets... I don't know why the hell would you despise an excellent lightweight pistol made out of 60% synthetic materials, but I assume you're somekinda traditionalist who prefer handguns made out of 'classic' materials. Also, as far as what I've learned, the Desert Eagle is quite a good pistol. The use of .50 Action Express (AE) gives it tremendous stopping power and, being an Israeli-made weapon, is a reliable handgun in service conditions. Its only drawback is the expensive price (for both handgun and ammo) and the strong recoil it generated which suggest experienced users with strong arms as its intended shooter. So far, I never heard of IMI firearms with the tendency to jam, but if you have a source to prove it, post it here please.AFAIK, the Browning High Power is only available in calibres of 9x19mm Parabelum and .40 S&W. Also, Browning HP is more well-known for its popularity among Commonwealth countries and also for its reliability, based on its 70+ years of service record. IMO, for the most customizable handgun (which also happens to use 'lovely .45 calibre bullets'), my vote would go to the H&K Mk. 23 SOCOM. And Jackygwh, all of the pistols in the Glock family are made primarily from high-impact polymer (plastic for commoners) with strong resistance against physical abuse, poor weather as well as having a good grip even if the user's palm is sweaty. Please remember that 40% of its parts are still traditional steel and metal, like the slide and its operating mechanism. Glock 21 and Glock 30 supports .45, but as with any modern handguns, the choice of 9mm is standard. This post has been edited by Hangmen: Feb 4 2006, 05:20 PM |

Actually the browning's already waaay too old already and unlike the 1911, there's not as much of a following in terms of versions. As for the SOCOM....waaaay too huge... a USP does almost everything the SOCOM can with much smaller profile. AFAIK, the Browning High Power is only available in calibres of 9x19mm Parabelum and .40 S&W. my personal favourite is the H&K MP7 auto pistol and the FN P90 for CQB, can't go wrong with these two. both have good stopping power and massive amount of ammo.
ranged combat, it's definitely the G36 |

It's nice to talk about gun replicas and all, but please note that there must not be any discussion at all about purchasing or selling these items as these are illegal in Malaysia.
Any subsequent posts in here found to break this rule will immediately be deleted without any prior notice. Multiple offences will warrant a warning and/or suspension. Thanks for your cooperation guys. |

Yup, listen to the boss.Any subsequent posts in here found to break this rule will immediately be deleted without any prior notice. Multiple offences will warrant a warning and/or suspension. Thanks for your cooperation guys. Let me simplify this for the better: - It's fine to talk about these things but don't discuss about where you got em'. - It's fine to post images of your collection but don't discuss about where you got em'. - It's fine to talk about replica gears that isn't a gun replica (clothes, vest, helmets, etc) because it's legal in Malaysia. |

QUOTE(TheWhacker @ Jun 21 2006, 07:31 PM) just one question, can these Replica Guns fit a real pistol clip and at the same time fire one bullet ? Impossible no matter how hard you try. Besides, the real things and replicas are too alien internally. Replica parts and real parts are not compatible or interchangeable, even on 'real steel' replicas. There is no concrete records of anyone who had successfully done such conversions, besides Myspace 'gangstas' bragging about 'OMG LIEK I MOD ME AIRSUF GLOXS WITH BLING DAIMONDS BULLETZ!!1111'.There were myths about Japanese Yakuzas modding airsoft pistols into crude single-fire pistols, but it was proven to be a hoax. Whenever the topic of replica guns were brought, it's always important to associate it with airsoft guns since they're always related closely. In this case, replica gun mags have somekinda protrusion-shaped hole thingie (err, whatever it's called) on top to load BB rounds into the magazine. Mags for real guns on the other hand loads live rounds into a narrow slot on its top based on whatever calibre it's meant to fire.If the Guns Replicas really look like the real thing, as in the dimensions and measurements and what not ..... couldn't they fit the real pistol clip ? Fit the clip only ... not firing any bullet. So yeah, with the protrusion thingies on replica gun mags, I doubt I could ever fit into a real gun. |

Couldn't help it but just want to share experience with you, its true that model weapons are illegal in Malaysia so its very hard to bring it in. I remembered once when my bro who wanted to return with his replica duel gun was not allowed to board the plane and my dad whose in the force had to help him out. This things if it looks like the real thing may be seized by the authorities bcz you never know when some people might use it in a robbery or something. So much as you would like to own one, its not wise to have them in your house.

I don't know about you guys, but i find those redhorse stuff is overpriced.
I had a pre-order on the first two release the AKs with gernade launcher and a .50 berret which claimed to be die cast metal. sadly it wasn't. I'm sticking to Hot Toys from now on. |

^I don't think that redhorse has anything to do with dragon although both of them have manufacturing plant in China. Dragon are infamous for their detail in every aspect of the weapon. infact it was the first to comeup with a customizable M4 carbine set with interchangelble parts. And the material of choice for Dragon weapons is ABS.
Redhorse however, uses some plastic which i'm not entirely familiar with. It's definitely polar like ABS so the paint can stick but at the same time more solid than dragon's weapons. it's a plus point i guess, especially when durability is the concern and action figures that's prone to base jumping. why i don't like redhorse? The weapons are molded as a whole, 1 piece set. something that's very common in GI-Joe and 21C. Compared to Dragon and HT where the weapons can be broken down to smaller simpler parts like (scope, barrle, laser sight, firing mechanism, stock). Since it's 1 piece, it should be MUCH cheaper due to ultra low investment cost. that's why i find redhorse weapon overpriced. other people would justify the high price mainly because it's the only company that sells customized AKs and weird weapons that even jap candy toy/trading figure makers would turn a blind eye to. |

QUOTE(Rusty Nail @ Jul 8 2006, 03:42 PM) I won't say that my collection is that awesome though. I got too many similar guns in my collection. I need some variety, but unfortunately, things are hard to come by in Sabah. Guess I should start ordering from the Peninsular rather than waiting for stocks to arrive in Sabah (and save more). Know any homepage based in the Peninsular selling 1/6 scale accessories besides XL-Toys? |

homepage? none other than XL
there USED to be one tough, Hanson. he claimed to be an ex-malaysian army field engineer who now opens a 1/6 action figure shop in mutiara complex at jalan ipoh, KL. one thing for sure, he know his guns well. when i question about his site being down, he gave some excuse about server problem. then he never mentioned about it since. my collection of rifles. likewise, i've quite a number of duplicates, especially modded M4 and 2 PSG1. Sadly, there's not enough space for the .50 baret sniper since it's HUGE and almost the length of the rack. » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « This post has been edited by Rusty Nail: Jul 8 2006, 03:54 PM |

FAMAS, OICW, AWP, PSG-1 and an old skool MP5 with straight mags? Damn I got a boner in my pants! Your collection may be small, but great in terms of choices. I've been looking everywhere for those 1/6 scale gun racks, but either I couldn't find em' or it has been sold out.

^FYI that "gun rack" was actually black plastic mesh. cost only Rm2 for 1x1meter here. quite easy to DIY actually. just cut out desired size, then use stick tape all over the sides.
i heard that the MP5 straight mag is rare, good thing i got it from my first 1/6 action figure Dragon GSG9 when i first started a long long time ago. This post has been edited by Rusty Nail: Jul 8 2006, 04:14 PM |

QUOTE(freak @ Jan 17 2006, 12:45 PM) I think you can get katanas from those martial arts shop. If you know the owner well enough to ask for his help to bring in 1 for you. I am a proud owner of 3 katanas,1 boken, 2 ninchakus and 10 different sets of shuriken given by my sensei. In terms of license and legallity, there is not a problem. Since even some katanas are displayed as decoratives. Easily obtained in Central Market KL. However they are not sharp at all. If I'm not mistaken, it is considered a weapon if its over 6 inches long (sharpened or not). The law did not mention anything about owning sharp swords or anything since it has been in our culture to own parangs in every household. I know a shop in Klang selling model guns in scale of 1\6 for figurines. This post has been edited by hamster9: Jul 9 2006, 01:43 PM |

QUOTE(LordOfWar @ Jul 29 2006, 12:21 PM) of coz la... these are cheap bb guns at these rates, i'd rather get a paintball marker. ( imagine shooting someone at 15 pellets per second. )do u knoe how much those replicas made of steel cost? a hand gun cost rm1-2k rifle cost rm2-3k ship from japan rm200-300 to pass kastam another few hundred how to buy ohhhh? dun get me wrong~! i would love to have a gun replica ... if only they are legal here... but being in malaysia, paintball is the next closest thing to get the feel of shooting out someone. |

Seriously you guys have gone mad. If you guys want to learn more bout airsoft just go to wikipedia and do a quick search on it. On the cost of the guns, I own 2 personally and they are gas operated meaning it has a blowback system aka more like the real gun. They costs from RM300-RM500. these are from reputable companies such as Tokyo Marui, Western Arms or KSC/KWA
On rifles, there are a lot of companies but mainly from Tokyo Marui, Classic Army or ICS. Tokyo Marui is like the grand daddy of airsoft, most of their stuff is top notch but all their guns is in plastic. CA and ICS on the other hand construct their guns based on real life. So it could be in ABS plastic or metal. I got a CA G36K (one that was used by Tom Cruise in MI:3 during the bridge scene) and I only paid RM800. My friend just got an Mp5 SD6 for RM 700 in the KL area. So bout it costing bout 2-3k. Tarak la abang abang This post has been edited by jonfavian: Oct 12 2007, 05:51 AM |

I'm still in the states, so its not a problem for me to buy the guns but to bring it back (i'm cracking my head at the moment). Spent way too much on modifying it to sell it. I'm told that ppl do sell it in Malaysia but I dun have concrete contacts. More like airsoft heng tai, and they dun sell guns to the general masses cause the want to keep it low. They do not want ppl to buy then make a big fuzz bout it then down the road police are gonna hunt them down. They only sell it to ppl who are really into the sport (mad enthusiasts) and how they get the guns into the country, I'm not sure. They do organize games in kl/pj area. Paint ball is cool but the paint ball itself costs way too much for me. You could get a pack of 5000 BB's for bout RM 35. And airsoft is more real as in more military sim i guess. That's my opinion though. So plz dun flame me bout this
Bout the guns being spring action or not. NO !!!! Over my dead body. HAHA. Spring guns are realtively cheap and has a cheap feeling. Spring guns you have to cock it once shoot it once then cock it again. Where else gas (All my guns are gas). You just got to fill it with HFC22 or better known as green gas. There's red gas which gives out more power but could spoil your gun with frequent use. One gun magazine could hold like 20+ BBs and with one full fill of gas you could get probably 2 magazines easily. Most gas guns have blowback, something like recoil where the top half of the gun slides back. Hope that this get u guys interested. =) |

Jackygwh, what u r saying is true. HAHA. Some guns look hella real. If i'm not wrong that is Tokyo Marui Dessert Eagle .50 caliber. Its chrome but its plastic. So to some ppl althought the cosmetic might be nice but plastic won't do the gun justice. Some ppl buy guns to have them displayed. Well ppl's preference y'know. Where else my guns are all metal except for G36 whish is polymer in real life. I take my guns during skirmish so depends on that individual, more durability or more looks. But the TM dessert eagle is still a sweet gun though.

QUOTE(vincentlee83 @ Jul 29 2006, 09:43 AM) actually those guns damn fake. only the shape and colour resembles a gun. hold and touch it and it feels exactly like a toy. I really agree with vincentlee83. However, it is much easier to tell the difference when the gun has an orange-tipped barrel. This avoids people think that the gun was a real one, since most toy guns have orange-tipped barrels. |

desert eagle,,dont think allowed in malaysia,,certain types only allowed,,too many 9mm or 9.8mm in malaysia dangerous,,,even the BB guns,,if any have them get caught ISA loooo!! was trained in security, did armed escorts,i know many not allowed,,9mm is effective at 25yards,,close proximity guns wud be the point 22 like the gloak 17,midnight special,38's,,only seriuos crimes dept allowed heavy hard ware like those,,limited becoz easy to identufy and control,,ada silencer lagi,phuh..!! god luck laa,,hahaha
the ones issued to me during escorts were the baretta 9mm,15 in clip,,glok 17 as back up,,a Remington pump as main with bull..guns are a good topic to learn and know your weapons in case u do confront one,,at least u wud know what to expect,,where to run ,what sort of range it can cover and all,,, Rifles,,thats another story,,do join the clubs in subang or in mantin,,be good to gain the extra knowledge,,, good learning all |

I wonder if the government allow for some kind of park like paintball 1 at West Malaysia, (izit got? I'm not sure), for the paintball WAR GAMES using full scale replica guns for fun and training. By taking control for the safety and also not allow 1 to bring out the guns, I think it would be very fun for a park like this ho! Don't U think?

Ya la, I still remember last time I bought my handgun for "self protect"...... well is like this, last time I use to walk for tution during primary 6, then every time when I pass by 1 house which the gate will open sometime I'll be very cautions about that STIUPID MAD dog. But 1 day when I pass by as usual that DOG suddenly jump out and attack me, I've no place to hide and forturnately I jump over the drain-big longkao then baru can't chase after me. Since then, I bought that handgun from my friend which do the handgun's BULK at school, then I felt save to pass by again. Well thats my long long story, hope U won't get bored. |

AEG is short for Automatic Electric Gun. They are called AEGs because they operates on battery. <-- short version.
(Long version) Most AEGs are 1:1 scale, and they come in different models - M series, AK series, you name it they make it (depends hugely on market demand - the latest is the FAL series - the long service rifles used by Malaysian army in the 70's, FNC series, another variation of AK) AEGs are the bread and butter of airsoft (another real world first person shooter style game). More detailed information is readily available on the internet. |

Hey GhosTTwO, where have you been? Anyway, them Chinese AEGs are getting better and better these days. Found this page based in Hong Kong:
http://www.gunnerairsoft.com/newgun/chinese/index.htm He seems to be one of the few people in Hong Kong selling Chinese-made AEGs as most shops in Hong Kong carry the expensive genuine ones from Japan. |

QUOTE(XP750 @ Sep 13 2006, 12:50 AM) yea..the bb paintballs are designed for low powered bb guns(eg. mini electric and spring guns), work best with single shot . not suitable for full sized rifles or gas guns. it WILL burst inside the barrel. bout my gun...little embarrassing to show here after seeing other's gun, it's a MP5 from the tokyo marui mini series, used to b available all around kl some time ago. hmm.. this one i have.. minus the scope. i also have the mini sig550. bought but never play b4.my almost used up bb pellets |

Found this page based in Hong Kong: Im still in the same place getting my degree and airsofting. Yes I heard bout them.. even had a chance to play with one of the CYMA's AK, nice gun, but I think I'll stick to my old schoold Sig 552 for the moment. I have some pics if you want to see them... flick me a pm. http://www.gunnerairsoft.com/newgun/chinese/index.htm He seems to be one of the few people in Hong Kong selling Chinese-made AEGs as most shops in Hong Kong carry the expensive genuine ones from Japan. Nowadays they also carry good items from Taiwan, not just Japanese. You need to remember that most shops caters to overseas market, who only buy the brands that have been proven and tested. |

QUOTE(minizian @ Oct 1 2006, 02:01 PM) Sarcasm cracka, do you Google it? And the inclusion of '......zzzzzzzzzz' along with unnecessary use of multiple full stops in your post doesn't really sound like you care to make a properly written reply. Seriously, can you not recognize the obviously large gap of scale differences between 1/1 and 1/6? You're only making my sarcastic assumptions of 'batcave dweller' more and more closer to truthery.PS: in before "Being too sarcastic doesn't help to make yourself more intelligent" copypasta reply from Lowyat's FAQ. |

BTW, the style of my gear is based on the Hong Kong SDU. Interestingly, SDU assault teams don't necessarily wear assault uniforms during an operation. They may simply leave their current outfit as it is and proceed with equipping themselves with vests, helmets, pouches, etc since they can be called into action anytime. Check out these images and see for yourself. ![]() ![]() More images here. |

Yep, worn first before putting on the vest. The one I have isn't an SDU tactical overall, but the same tactical overall used by our country's PASKAL commandos. The suit is fire retardant, meaning it won't catch fire easily.the pics u showed me really amazed me. i din expect those SDU to appear in jeans, and sneakers.. haha at first i thought all of them will appear like this: ![]() u see the blue one? is that the same as yours? It's no surprise now why action figure manufacturers like Dragon Models and Hot Toys had made plainclothes SDU in full assault gear. I too am puzzled at first why these SDU figures are not wearing tactical overalls and thought it might probably be a way to make em' sell by giving them a 'Hong Kong movie hero' look. That is of course until I did a Google Image Search on the SDU. Those blue overalls worn by the SDU is different from mine. The SDU overalls is similar to those worn by the SAS: the overalls have pocket inserts on the elbows and knees for inserting padded foams, though I wonder why do they still have to wear optional pads despite having that convinience. |

That was only to test how far can you take my sarcasm, and you're really lacking at that. But seriously, do you really need to make a big fuss about where I live?I got my own question: Why does my location matter? It's already so obvious that I'm Malaysian. I mean, what would an Estonian forummer be doing surfing a discussion forum which uses too much unfamiliar gibberish? In other words, if I am of different nationality, I wouldn't be here and would be elsewhere. Also, if you feel troublesome with the 'validity' of my current location, what about that of other forummers here in Lowyat? There are lots of people who wrote questionable places in their 'Location' profile. What about them? Shouldn't you bug those who put things like "Right Behind Her" or "Ask Your Mom" in their 'Location' because they're not being honest, when it's already a trivial fact that they're Malaysians? Unless there's somekinda rule in this forum in which anyone who joined this forum must properly give their correct location, arguing about it is a moot question. |

QUOTE(ahhoe80 @ Oct 6 2006, 10:35 AM) aiyo... badguy86, hangmen is just writing that he lives in north korea cos he wanted to maintain his Anonymity la.. its just a way of saying please dont ask further else he would be in trouble for all the replicas he has. FACT: it's impossible for North Koreans to access the outside world, since they're running on an Intranet (Wiki that). After all, it's already so obvious that I'm Malaysian. Why make such a big fuss over the fictitious nature of my current location?dont take it seriously ler... hangmen, i found sources to buy the level 4 vest, and the helmet, and some boots. but still no ideas how to get the "piece" how ah? ** u wanted the boots? i found one very nice, labeled SWAT sommore. if u want PM me, i try get for u. Anyway, if you're ordering gears from outside (online shop) and wondering about the payment methods available to you, always check the shop's FAQ, but it's always best to e-mail the shop owner directly for further questions. Who knows, the shop owner might give you his best suggestion, or better yet, he might even reveal that he has a bank account in Malaysia (esp. those from Hong Kong or Singapore) to make your payment easier. I already found a shop selling boots in my place. It's a store which specializes in camping gears, but they also sell authentic gears used by military (nothing illegal of course). For about RM239.90, I can get myself a pair of authentic Nomex SWAT boots. However, as I have told you, I'm temporarily off from this hobby and had gone back to 1/6 action figures. If buying a whole 1/6 figure can cost you RM200-RM400, buying a whole 1/1 gear can cost you RM1000-RM1500 depending on what you wanna buy! |

QUOTE(Hangmen @ Oct 6 2006, 03:23 AM) Whoah, you actually took reply to me seriously? That was only to test how far can you take my sarcasm, and you're really lacking at that. But seriously, do you really need to make a big fuss about where I live? Dear Hangmen, I feel nothing of your sarcasm, beside I take it easily. So, you r Malaysian! Then, congrats and welcome U to legally join our owner of illegal air soft guns group. I got my own question: Why does my location matter? OK, if you found uneasy with my post, please just ignore it OK? And I'm sorry if you feel so. So, cheer up everybody & peace! |

We can't get pass airport with those airgun, too risky(our goverment is very straight on this stuff, not even a small shuriken). Maybe can detach the airgun and mix with other stuff and send part-per-part perpack and send back, but waste a lot of times and money........ Bc, airgun got a lot of metal parts can detect by sensor.
Actually I also buy two unit of Tokyo Marui mini series gun, MP5 & Steyr Aug. Looks really cool if for small child..... For original gas pump air gun, this is less lethal childs toys. Air gun is more realistic in survival game. This post has been edited by opelouis: Oct 6 2006, 06:41 PM |

Many years ago, I met one sergeant from Malaysia's army. He open a shop in Ipoh, he sell many kinds of soldier stuff, very cool. He also collected some cool stuff from US army, like fiber glass combat knife(now not produced, bc cannot detect by x-ray), desert storm army combat goggles(with spare plastic glass), special force head glove(fire prove).

I readed some gun magazine says, in seventies, Glock can get pass airport x-ray(just like fiber glass combat knife). Bc, most of the parts in Glock handguns are made by plastic. But in late seventies, Glock company put some chemical in the plastic of the handgun, to make it visible in x-ray. So, that is the stories ended.

I heard you can get tactical overalls (fire retardant ones) and authentic Steyr AUG bayonets from him. |

My special force tactical vest, I like to pretend "Special Weapons And Tactic" SWAT Teams. Realistic MP5 machine guns in my wardrobe (actually those is just some plastic toys gun, with sound effects can't shoot any thing.) I painted this two BB guns and hang in my wardrobe, looks kind of cool. This post has been edited by opelouis: Oct 7 2006, 04:04 PM |

A while back I was thinking of buying my friend's Western Arms Beretta M92FS Perfect Version. Mostly metal exterior, 1:1 replica, excellent build quality. My parents freaked over it, but that didn't keep me from having a bit of fun first. Had I kept the gun, I wonder where I would have gotten the R134a that I needed to fire it. I'll definitely look into Airsoft or paintballing when I make my way back to the US.
Pictures of the gun: http://www.flickr.com/photos/yetieater/262845489/ http://www.flickr.com/photos/yetieater/262845490/ http://www.flickr.com/photos/yetieater/262845491/ http://www.flickr.com/photos/yetieater/262845492/ http://www.flickr.com/photos/yetieater/262845495/ http://www.flickr.com/photos/yetieater/262845496/ http://www.flickr.com/photos/yetieater/262845988/ http://www.flickr.com/photos/yetieater/262845990/ http://www.flickr.com/photos/yetieater/262845992/ http://www.flickr.com/photos/yetieater/262845993/ |

Haha.. I don't have the gun on me. My friend was selling it to me for RM450 in its original box, near perfect condition, laser point sight, spare magazine, and a full can of R134a. Like I said, my parents freaked out when they saw it. It was brought in from Hong Kong.

There's nothing illegal about bringing in non-airsoft items. Read this reply from a friend of mine:QUOTE When importing stuff, bear in mind that PRICE is the 2nd thing they look for. The first being the shape of the item when passing thru the x-ray scanner.... I recall seeing a poster in the Customs Clearance office in KLIA, anything above RM300 is liable for Sales Tax. Excise Duty and other charges may be incurred depending on their mood that day. Say if your items are held for taxation, then they will need you to open the package to confirm the contents. Or if you appoint POS Malaysia to declare tax for you, they will open the package on your behalf. Point is : Package will be opened, so don't get stuff that are 'hard to explain' (not sure what falls into this category). For a more guaranteed way, pay for EMS/Poslaju freight or an Express Service (DHL/UPS), they get more priority treatment and probably LESS questions, compared to regular Package/Parcels. Disclaimer : End result very dependent on the efficiency of your local customs office. Next best option : Get someone to bring them in for you... Hope that helps. |

My friend still has his AEG MP5, WA M92FS gas BB, a Steyr AUG mini, and a single shot rifle. Guess he didn't manage to get the Beretta sold, after all. Really nice gun - I'd like to buy it and take it back to the US with me, but I don't think customs would let me have it off easy upon arrival there.

Well, if you're gonna appear in public, noisemakers (yeah, those things that makes RATATAT sound) or rubber dart guns would do just fine. Seriously, it's better to get those than getting into trouble if you just wanna do a costume party/cosplay. If you don't like the colors of the noisemaker/dartgun/whichever, use gap sealer to cover the screw hole and spraypaint it. I've been eyeing replica PASGT "Fritz" Helmets online for a quite some time now and have finally gone out to get them thanks to the single only evidence I could find that it is legal in Malaysia to have them (excl. replica weapons): your post
QUOTE(Hangmen @ Feb 1 2006, 10:21 PM) ...Replica equipments however, are legal in our country (bought a fake kevlar helmet in KL last year), which means you can get some pretty neat stuff online, ... I would appreciate if there were more info or comments from other sources/forummers confirming that it is legal to have replica helmets and replica or authentic (non-Malaysian) camo uniforms (just to collect, never intended to wear in the jungles or even on the streets, strictly indoors such as inside my house or company dinner costume parties or cosplay outings). I've just ordered one replica plastic PASGT helmet with five helmet covers: Woodland(US), Desert(US), Tiger stripes(US/Vietnam), MARPAT desert and MARPAT tropical or woodland(not sure). I just hope that it won't be held-up at customs for too long (since it's quite a bulky item and dunno whether it'll show up in their scanners/x-rays 'cos the chinstrap may contain some metal rings/hoops). If it DOES arrive (yoohoo!) I'll surely let you all know! Muahahaha... My next item on the list: Matching camo set (shirt and pants). That one, got to be a near-authentic (90+%) replica. Authentic ones are either too pricey or used(wouldn't like the idea of wearing uniforms of a fallen soldier!) so it's gotta be very good replicas(either tiger stripes or woodland)! Wish me luck on the beginning of my modern soldier uniform gear collection(just helmet and BDU will do....I already got the combat boots)! Thanks & cheers! All sites that sells airsoft in Hong Kong offers the service of dismantling airsoft, and it's no secret (just check out their FAQ section). However, please note that success rate isn't very high and our Customs are not to be underestimated. Crossing the borders to Thailand is still the preferred method for many.

QUOTE(Jackygwh @ Oct 14 2006, 03:56 PM) 0 technically should be 9 if you are buying the whole set.i'm not sure if they will remove everything, inspect it, and repackage 8 different guns while the extra one (if they are unable to get the secret) will be sold off as individual unit. ofcourse, for 8 guns the price will be much cheaper. |

QUOTE(Jackygwh @ Oct 14 2006, 10:51 PM) heh ? we bought whole set ohh... they should giv us 8 guns with a secret guns leh... how can remove one er.. no no..when i spoke with kenji, he told me that there's 2 ways of buying those guns. one is a predetermined set of 8pcs as shown at the back of the box. (less than RM150 total) the second one is getting the whole box set which is 10 boxes together. that means 8 predertimed weapons, 1 duplicate and 1 1/10 chance of getting the secret weapon which is a WW II MG42 machinegun. i think you bought this set (if you buy from their website) |

QUOTE(Hangmen @ Oct 3 2006, 07:45 PM) I've already answered his question. He asked what are the sizes of 1/6 scale guns, and give em' the appropriate answer: a direct link to the 12" action figure thread, since guns used on those kinds of figures are in 1/6. What have I done to cause so much trouble anyway? Geez, some people really need to have their funny bone adjusted. I like ur glove ~ how much it cost?Ah, of course, Thailand: where everything illegal elsewhere is always legal there. You can get springer airsoft there far cheaper than having lunch in KFC. Heck, make that twice cheaper if you could spot a bargain! That AK of yours is of CYMA yes? Anyway, a contact from the Internet told me that it's also easy to get those things in Sarawak (that's where you're from, yes?), at a lesser price than those in the Peninsula. I heard RC airsoft tanks are legal. Saw em' being sold in Lelong.com.my. Try searching there and you might also stumble across cheap airsoft BBs. they're 6mm low-quality Chinese BBs for them RC airsoft tanks, but will also work fine on anything made for airsoft. ----------------------- Anyway, here's a picture TO END ALL questions of scale differences between 1/1 and 1/6: ![]() It's self-explanatory of which one in this image is 1/1 and which one is 1/6: - The huge, threatening-looking one is 1/1. - The small, tiny-sized comrade is 1/6. KAPISH? Also, PLEASE, stop PM'ing about where to get em' (to those of you who did so). I WON'T ANSWER SUCH QUESTIONS AND ALL SUCH PMs WILL RECEIVE INSTANT TOILET FLUSH. If you're wondering where I got em': ![]() THIS will be my answer. |

QUOTE(SeLrAhC @ Nov 11 2006, 01:36 AM) Real guns kill people. They're not something to play or joke around with. Holding an actual live firearm requires a mature and high degree of responsibility as well as acknowledgements of legal repercussions should it be used upon an individual or discharged in a public area, and I'm not talking about ammoless guns that one may hold within a limited perimeter and time in some military exhibition, but real guns that one may attempt to possess whether by legal or illegal means. |

QUOTE(Lucifer_Light @ Nov 18 2006, 12:10 PM) Put use metal bb in bb guns if, aimed right, also can kill people right? I saw my fren used a metal bb, got tiny spikes wan... won't the barrel rosak? The heavier the BB, the lower the firing velocity. Yes, you can destroy an airsoft's internal mechanism that way because an airsoft isn't made to fire metal pellets. If you wanna fire metal pellets, you need some really strong propellant, in this case, something that went beyond spring-cocking and electric motors: gas. But if that's the case, then it's better for you to get a real gun instead. Gas-powered airsoft are also available but only in the form of pistol, since these kinds of airsoft shoots at 300FPS even on a short barrel, and many airsoft playing fields usually kept their maximum airsoft FPS velocity at 350-400FPS. Not really sure about here, but all airsoft owners I've met so far online are very mature and responsible and showed great care and respect for both their preciously realistic toy guns and the law. But really, as long as airsoft owners in Malaysia kept doing things that may give a 'criminal' image towards airsoft (like the metal BB trick you mentioned), there will never be a chance for airsoft to get itself legalized in this country. Anyway, if you want to obtain airsoft or other weapon replicas through legal means, you can always try getting yourself a permit/license for importing and possessing weapon replicas. Consult with your nearby police station about this. |

QUOTE(Lucifer_Light @ Nov 18 2006, 04:10 PM) Put use metal bb in bb guns if, aimed right, also can kill people right? I saw my fren used a metal bb, got tiny spikes wan... won't the barrel rosak? Hi, would like to point out a few things in the statement above: First, all airsoft replicas (the one that some of you guys have been showing off in here) do NOT and are NOT capable of firing metal bbs, regardless of the length of barrel, what sort of propellent it uses, etc etc. Only airguns are capable of firing steel pellets (not steel bb because they do not looked like normal bbs). The diameter of a metal pellet is usually smaller than a 6mm plastic bb. Air guns comes in 2 different callibre - (.177 rimfire and .22). Only .177 callibre air guns are capable of firing metal pellets. These airguns are NOT in the same catagory as airsoft replicas because of the different ammo used. Again, 6mm plastic bbs travelling up to 500fps cannot penetrate skin even if shot at point blank range. It just hurts a hell lot! metal pellets has got more destructive power (because it's made out of metal!) and it is able to maim or even kill small domestic animals. (that's what the metal pellets are usually used for, to get rid of pests like rats, and dogs & cats...) If you are still confused between a normal 6mm airsoft gun and a .177 slug gun, use the internet search engine. Keywords: airsoft gun, slug gun, plastic bb, metal pellets. |

Marui as standard ma. if they take in other brands except marui or KSC, most prob i wont buy. Western Arms also acceptable. But talk no use, hard to get la. even a blardy CYMA frm china also hard

CYMA is a kid's toy lar.. Western Arm too expensive... so the best choice still KSC or KJ...though Marui's Glock 17 looks pretty good.
Anyway.... no money to spend on toy guns lar... |
