...Replica equipments however, are legal in our country (bought a fake kevlar helmet in KL last year), which means you can get some pretty neat stuff online, ...
I would appreciate if there were more info or comments from other sources/forummers confirming that it is legal to have replica helmets and replica or authentic (non-Malaysian) camo uniforms (just to collect, never intended to wear in the jungles or even on the streets, strictly indoors such as inside my house or company dinner costume parties or cosplay outings).
I've just ordered one replica plastic PASGT helmet with five helmet covers: Woodland(US), Desert(US), Tiger stripes(US/Vietnam), MARPAT desert and MARPAT tropical or woodland(not sure).
I just hope that it won't be held-up at customs for too long (since it's quite a bulky item and dunno whether it'll show up in their scanners/x-rays 'cos the chinstrap may contain some metal rings/hoops).
If it DOES arrive (yoohoo!) I'll surely let you all know! Muahahaha...
My next item on the list: Matching camo set (shirt and pants). That one, got to be a near-authentic (90+%) replica. Authentic ones are either too pricey or used(wouldn't like the idea of wearing uniforms of a fallen soldier!) so it's gotta be very good replicas(either tiger stripes or woodland)!
Wish me luck on the beginning of my modern soldier uniform gear collection(just helmet and BDU will do....I already got the combat boots)!
Thanks & cheers!
