Dota began as a user-made modification for Warcraft 3 and has grown into one of the most played online games in the world. Following in the tradition of Counter-Strike, Day of Defeat, Team Fortress, Portal, and Alien Swarm, Dota 2 is the result of Valve hiring the community developers who built the mod and giving them the chance to finally build a full product out of their idea with the help of a professional team of developers and artists at Valve.

As for the gameplay, it’s a little hard to describe. The camera is set in the traditional RTS perspective, but it wouldn’t be fair to call Dota an RTS. And while each hero starts at level 1, and many times hits the level cap of 25, it wouldn’t be fair to call it an RPG.

Lots of people have tried to assign various genre names to Dota, but we think Action RTS is probably the most descriptive. And while we don’t spend a lot of time trying to figure out what genre the game is inventing, we can’t stop playing it internally!

It's still under beta testing, but its already a perfect game.

I believe with sudden mass beta key spams by Valve, they are in their final beta phase already, where they do stress testing on their server.

just realized it is cool you can watch your steam friend play dota for live.

Its annoying why they still couldnt fix the attack animation bug. Its freaking diffucult to last hit when u can't see the attack animation. ZzzZz

yup i never found any animation bug? check ur resolution?
maybe ur graphic card? or maybe u are playing on lagging server?

I am seeing a massive of influx of bad players

Just ended a game against a bunch of arrogant Pinoys. They picked on us from the start, poking fun at Malaysians for no reason. My first experience of abusive players since I started playing D2.

you tell them, all maid are from filipino, your mother and sister come malaysia as maid, then got some owner piap piap them XP 

so rude, but sometimes that's the way to keep our dignity!

No idea what skill level you play at then. Its a ward fest when I play (including counterwarding occasionally)
The biggest issue with bone is he brings nothing to the table for groups. He's squishy, has low damage output compared to similar heroes, requires ridiculous farm and a very skilled player and is just generally bad.

Compare it to heroes like AM, Riki, OD. They bring so much more utility to the table. In fact Gondar does what Bone does and he does it 100 times better. So why would you ever pick bone?

But it still crash alot

Crash usually happens on menu for me tho, if you talk about in game, never encounter any yet so far.

One funny way that i got crash often was, random'ed a hero and repicked quickly after.

Oh I see, I crashed a game when randoming once

and got my first abandoned >_<

You can always reconnect back to the game wut o.o

there is a waiting period on the starting of the game, if he dropped out during that time ,then the game is cancelled, i believe this is what he is meant,
other might just comment him as bad gamers or laggers, some thing like that, well thats my assumption.
