QUOTE(hahli9 @ Apr 25 2012, 09:04 PM) Since when was I discussing the usefulness of the Force Staff in general? It was just on the BS. I am well aware of the uses of the force staff on BS and I also know how little damage it does at low levels. At Lv1, it does 120 damage from 600 units travelled from force staff + initial 150 damage. At Lv3, it does do quite a bit of damage, 360 from 600 units travelled + initial 350 damage. If my calculations are correct that is. So Lv1: 270 damage, Lv2: 490 damage, Lv3: 710 damage. Put it like this.....I can see it's uses, enemy hero facing you, cast Rupture, force staff him to your face, dead guy in next few hits. Bloodrage after Rupture if necessary. The things is, I'm never trying to attack enemy heroes head-on with BS. I'm always targeting people that appear on my minimap because of Thirst or running around trying to get people from behind, they'll be less than 40% HP before they know it and they can't even run. Even if Rupture runs out by that point, I'll have the move speed buff and catching up will be simple, if I need that little bit of damage, I don't need to force staff, I just get in his face again because I move so damn fast. And at lvl 16, you'd likely have quite a number of your core items. With Bloodrage on, you'll be dishing out a shitton of damage, almost as much as the 360 damage from forced movement. The only practical situation I see in which force staff will be useful for BS is when you have low health, your enemy has low health and he's somehow successfully made it into his base, but you still have vision and he's within force staff range. You therefore push him to his death. That is the only situation in which I see force staff doing something I can't already do. Oh wow, I even thought that force staff at least interrupts channelling. But it doesn't. So if someone's teleporting, chances are you'll be right in his face when he does it, or his health will be too high for it to be of any use. So yes, IMO, there are better items to get on BS. I'm not saying it's a useless item. I'm just saying there are better items to get for BS. "I dont see it as a core item" "Place into Luxury item list" problem solved lol |
