just back from AFA, everyone armed with DSLR and camera, and with flash pointing to the high ceiling. Some even point to flash to the crowd when portrait mode. Like flash bang.

Dont they know the ceiling is TOO HIGH?

at least use a demb flash lah. Anyway, i have shoot with X100 extensively the past month or two. Shoot with DSLR and X100 today, and i have to said, shooting with X100 today is way more fun then my Nikon.

DSLR mainly to shoot those model, but if want to shoot street style on everything, X100 easier lah. tongue.gif

i use 16-35 today, so focal length wise, i felt just nice,

Just the feeling and the ease and speed of pulling the camera from waist to eye level and shoot takes longer for DSLR than small camera like X100.\

Edit: 28 1.8g in my wishlist too.

Guys,I just bought Nikkor 35mm f1.8 and Nikkor 55-300mm F4.5-5.6 lens for my Nikon D5100.

after reach home,I try the lens and the Nikkor 55-300mm zoom ring will produce some weird sound.is it normal?because my kit lens doesn't produce any sound as well.

Nikkor 35mm not able to focus correctly. I use single point and select the item in front of me.but the words on the object still blurry. Is it correct?

Both lens are made in CHINA

Actually ceiling high still got difference compared to shooting without flash at all.
Of course, got reflector, etc maybe better, but some people may not have it or may not want to use it. If you seens before indian wedding at large halls, it's darker than normal dining ballroom and there're many colorful spotlights or colorful lights around, the ceiling is very high but those pro wedding photographers still tries to bounce the flash. It still makes a difference to not using flash at all.

my 55-300 also got a very soft screw sound when turning, not audible when i look through view finder and in noisy environment

the minimum focus distance is around 30-40cm for 35mm and the depth of field will be very small at f1.8, unless you focus accurately else it will be blur
