QUOTE(lucifah @ Jul 3 2013, 07:03 PM) the ceiling rate for lasb-i has a ceiling rate of blr/interestif im not mistaken, its 10.95%...for lasb conventional, no capping of the blr... if let say blr shoot up to 11%, then lasb-i would only charge up to 10.95% current promo by lasb-i and conv remain the same at blr-1.65% sorry, i'm not a banker...just one of the customer who made the lasb |

QUOTE(hyelbaine @ Jul 3 2013, 07:44 AM) If those people (who complained initially) ever read the quote by Buffet in your signature, they wouldn't be in such a predicament eh? Why listen to those "expert" & their "baseless facts" We could see all those previous amanah saham scheme which give quite "acceptable" return to investor |

QUOTE(smartinvestor01 @ Jul 3 2013, 09:08 AM) Yape, I managed to pump in most of my monies into the AS1M account during the time where everyone is so negative about the fund.. Good decision to invest in as1m Unfortunately, when the fund first declare the dividend, everyone of the non-bumi rushed in to invest, making it full now.. As for ASW2020, I did not have the account so i dont even have the chance to trial and error at the counter unlike ASM and AS1M which I have the account and can try over the counter.. I think as1m already sold out even before the 1st dividend announcement. I think April / May 2010 already sold out Too bad you don't have ASW. If not mistaken in year 2007 & 2008, ASW2020 opened for additional units. That's time we need to go early morning. QUOTE(lucifah @ Jul 3 2013, 09:19 AM) that's why i feel sad for my fello bumiputra friends So true. Got some friends after get some "windfall", change new car & go overseas holiday. got money, go buy cars, hp and gadgets, holidays, vacations, and other tangible purchases don't want to invest in AS1M, let alone ASB. others are fighting for the tiny funds left from the non-bumi quota... One I could see is that there's some positive improvement over the years. Nowdays the trend is changing, but not so fast. |

QUOTE(lucifah @ Jul 3 2013, 11:57 PM) To be fair, a fund like ASB will never be fully taken up. It's an open ended fund so essentially, there's no way for ASB to be fully subscribed. AS1M however is picking up quickly due to the fact that there's no individual cap on the amount that can be invested. Looking at how ASW, ASM and ASD have been scooped up by bumi's, AS1M should be taken up completely in the near future. |

Contrary to whatyou may have heard, i can guaratnee you that you can just walk in to any RHB / maybank / CIMB banks and buy bumiputra units for those funds and it's always available, albeit not a large amount (maybe a few hundred k's a day)many bumi are buying, and are also selling all the time if you know the bank manager personally, you can personally park an amount of money to him / her and ask them to automatically slot in anytime someone sells their units, which doesn't take more than a few days... |

QUOTE(davinz18 @ Jul 3 2013, 11:07 PM) Good decision to invest in as1m Yape, i dont have the chance to even open the account... Lol... The last time when they launched the additional for subscription for ASW2020, I reached the post office at about 6am.. Well, by the time i reached there, the queue is already frightening.. Haha...I think as1m already sold out even before the 1st dividend announcement. I think April / May 2010 already sold out Too bad you don't have ASW. If not mistaken in year 2007 & 2008, ASW2020 opened for additional units. That's time we need to go early morning. Some people started to Q at 4am Some of the people bring their fold-able chair, some bring their coffee, newspaper, performing their morning routines over there outside the post office.. I am hoping to have at least a chance to open the account but the chances are very slim. I even went to the ASNB office to ask whether i can try to bank in to open account, but they tell me that i need to have at least an account to enable me to trial and error to deposit monies into the account. No account, no talk.. |

Yesterday (03.07.13) my wife went to maybank to open AS1M and the counter girl mentioned that there is no available unit for non-bumi.
My wife shows the proof that she is Bumi and able to open the acct. |

By the way, just wanna ask..
Since my wife ASB is not full, is it wise to park some money in AS1M? Or should we concentrate on maximizing the ASB 1st? Thanks |
