Me too but my asw2020 is nt valid bcos by tat time the counter ppl want to key in the amount of money I want to buy, the quota is full  rclxub.gif so I only hv the passbook without money inside..
*
Maybe with the passbook, you can try to bank in sometimes when u are near the ASNB agents.

Well, for what i see, as long as i have the passbook already, i extend my new chance to try bank in in ASW2020, instead of only can try my luck in ASM and AS1M. ^^

Yape, but i believe the dividend will be at the minimum above 6..

Do you guys think that there is a way to even opened an account for ASW2020 even with a RM10?

I just hoped to have the passbook so that i can have the opportunity to invest by trial and errors at the ASNB counters.

Without the passbook, i cannot even have the chance to try my luck.. ^^

I used to know someone who offered the PNB officers some tips, for exchange they will help you to "reserve" the amount of fund you desire whenever the opportunity arises, and notifies you to immediately bring over your money for purchase. Downside is you need to be always available, ie. not really viable for the working people. True enough, he managed to buy extra units for it not long later, despite the funds being fully subscribed most of the time. Have also heard of people having friends working at PNB-appointed banks, who will help them to purchase whenever units are available. That is why the funds are always unavailable to the rest of us, because the moment someone sells, these bankers and PNB officers immediately grabbed them.
*
Thanks for the helpful tips.

What you are saying is really true.. The appointed agents are really a disadvantage to us..

Amanah Saham is managed by PNB.
PIDM also govt owned. If PNB fails, don't you think banks and PIDM would fail in the same sense.

Invest it Amanah Saham while you can to take advantage of the "higher" returns.
*
Yes, actually it is true..

If PNB failed, what to say about PIDM..

Most of the shareholders investing in PNB are expecting it to be capital guaranteed despite that there is no claims of protection from PIDM.

Majority of people investing in it, and even some of the investors are non-stopping injecting money in this fund..

i don't know but i don't look good for the return this time. imagine the upcoming GE13 and how AS1M is funded as 'unit trust' tends to lose money as well. Opinion?
*
My opinion is that we might not make losses, but what will be affecting us will be the dividend rates which they will declare...

Lol... The dividend rates are a variable factor and it is not fixed, but as for the money invested, i think still okay...

Worse come to worse, maybe declare less than 6%... sweat.gif

As a chinese, i also dont have the privilege to use a loan (like ASB loan) for investing in similar ASN products..

Quite frustrated.. sad.gif

Anywhere, the dividend declaration for AS1M and ASW2020, i believe will be the same..

So i am looking forward to the announcement for ASW2020 as a benchmark for my projection of dividend for AS1M...

Anyone have any news that there will be new additional fixed price funds for subscription anytime this year?

I waited for so long, and this 2-3 years is really a 'draught' season, as there were no news about their intention to open new subscription for those funds..

No announcement as at now.
Whenever they hv fund opening, ppl will claim it's Ponzi scheme, use new funds to payout interest for old funds, when there is no new funds, ppl also give feedback on no funds.
Asw launched during Dr. M, As1m under Najib. Maybe we shall wait till the next new PM

Lol, good observations on the new launching of Amanah Saham everytime when a new pm is elected.. thumbup.gif

Amanah Saham Gemilang, a fund under Pemodalan Nasional Berhad will launch a discount campaign for ASG with 2% sales charge, compare 5% sales charge from usual.
The campaign will be opened from 15 April 2013 till 14 Mac 2014, that is one year period campaign to promote three of the funds, namely ASG-Didik, ASG-Didik and ASG-Sara to the public.

Well, it seems like PNB is now focusing on increasing their sales for the variable price unit trusts..

I have a bad feeling that PNB might not be increasing the total new units of fixed price unit trusts as they are consistently doing promotions for the variable price unit trusts...

Hardly to wait for those opportunities in the future.. hmm.gif
