If the Covered Person’s confirmed onward connecting Scheduled Flight is missed
at the transfer point due to the late arrival of the Covered Person’s incoming
confirmed connecting scheduled flight and no alternative onward transportation is
made available to the Covered Person within four (4) hours of the actual arrival
time of his or her incoming flight, the Company will indemnify the Covered Person
for Maybankard 2 Platinum Card charges incurred in respect of hotel
accommodation and restaurant meals or refreshments up to RM800 for the
Covered Person Maybankard 2 Platinum Cardmember and RM800 for his/her
Covered Family Members whose fares have been charged to Maybankard 2

for his/her Covered Family Members whose fares have been charged to an

destination in respect of the emergency purchase of essential clothing and
requisites up RM800 for the Covered Person Maybankard 2 Platinum Cardmember
and RM800 for his/her Covered Family Members whose fares have been charged
to Maybankard 2 Platinum Card or a maximum of RM1,600 for both the Covered
Maybankard 2 Platinum Cardmember and Covered Family Members

Maybankard 2 Platinum Card charges incurred within four (4) days of his or her
arrival at such scheduled destination in respect of the emergency purchase of
essential clothing and requisites up to RM2,500 for the Covered Maybankard 2
Platinum Cardmember and RM2,500 for his/her Covered Family Members whose
fares have been charged to Maybankard 2 Platinum Card or a maximum of
RM5,000 for both the Covered Maybankard 2 Platinum Cardmember and Covered

Hi, I notice that Maybank2Kard Travel Insurance exclude the claim in respect of flight delay/missed connection, luggage delay/loss (as highlighted in red above) if the Covered Person's is in his/her Country of Residence.
From my understanding, if someone (Malaysian) wants to travel to Bangkok with the flight connection as follow:-
From A ---> KL----> Bangkok
If there is any misconnection of flight in KLIA(KL) to Bangkok, then it is not covered.
Is it a norm to all credit card issuer banks because I noticed that Hong Leong Bank and MBF Platinum cards do not such exclusion clause.
Hope anyone can provide some insight as I maybe overlooked or misinterpreted.
