I've already applied CIMB Islamic Credit Card Gold MasterCard. I noticed the annual fees is waived for life(principle). But what I don't understand is the Government Service Tax (RM50 for principle). Does it mean that it will charge RM50 Gov Serv tax for each transaction when I use the card?

And it didn't state % interest or credit limit which bothers me alot. If I use the card for RM2200 items, does it mean I have to return RM2200?
*
GST is annually charged.

Yes, If you swipe RM2200 and pay before statement due date.

If you dont pay before statement due date, you will be charge 18% p.a. and some other fees

I think all MBB cards have t he same Statement Date and Anniversary Date, so you can't have separate statement date for different MBB cards.

I feel above is adequate. Ignoring that you can earn up to 5% cash back or getting discount with the right card, transactions between 27 and 6 use UOB. Transactions between 6 to 26 use MBB.

Seriously how much money can you really save/earn (from having the money in the bank to earn interest) for daily expenses?

Bro, seriously no difference you pay this month or next month because it is still a debt. The fact still remains you spending money.

Cash flow issue can happen if deadline to pay is at or just before your salary date, though.

Then plan your spendings carefully. BTW ... that's not a cash flow issue, it's personal cash overflow or no cash flow. Don't use the term cash flow wantonly without understanding the financial definition behind it.

If you have 0 money to pay your bills every month without the help of your salary then one need to rethink their finances.

i got 1 over the phone from ocbc, 3% pa flat for 6/12 months only. selected customer only. no good?

even there a forumer spreading about this in citibank cc thread

QUOTE(v2_vehooi @ Aug 20 2013, 09:10 AM)
I just call up their CS, they offer me a cash loan with interest 2.72%pa (flat) for 1 year tenure, 2.67%pa for 2 year tenure.
Guys, is it worth to get it?
*
Because lack of such info and good deal in this credit card section, i intend to open 1 thread about this call for cash or cheuque on call or whatever they name it based on your CL. But seems like someone is prohibiting me to do so and my thread gone with the wind in 5 minutes.

It's possible that bank offering anything to you lower than FD or any others, the catch is, they want you having problem to repay then the standard CC interest rate will kick in. If im a good paymaster, the bank still lose nothing as they still can collect the 3% interest p.a.

Write a complaint to Bank Negara. Remember to mention that you have contacted them 6 times but no remedial action.

Any idea how to differentiate whether the hotel just 'blocked' the amount of money as 'deposit' or charged the credit card? Will the bank staff be able to find out whether the amount is blocked or charged?

How does this block thing works? When the hotel blocks the deposit amount for a certain number of days on my credit card when I check in, after checking out they will release the block, then it won't appear on my statement right?

Recently made a hotel booking for January 2013 with booking.com where it stated no deposit or prepayment is required. Receive an SMS from my bank the next day saying that a purchase of xx amount has been made. I contacted booking.com and they say the hotel could have block the amount (which was 50% of the total amount).

When your card is swiped for deposit, your card is actually charged that particular amount. Credit limit will be deducted but however, the merchant (which is the hotel this time), will not submit the deposit amount for claim unless you did not show up at the hotel which they will then use the transaction and claim from the credit card institutions. If I am not wrong, they can hold your credit for 7 days and if the merchant did not claim, the floating amount will be reverted back into your credit limit.

The amount is considered as floating as it is deducted from your credit limit but because the hotel did not submit for any claim, it will not appear in your bill. You can check with the bank and all they can tell you is XXX hotel has charged to your card but have not make any claims yet hence it is still floating.

If i do have several credit cards with several CL, my commitment from the view of other banks will be base on the total of my overall CL for those cards or only the amount that i've utilized from it?
