QUOTE(Gen-X @ Aug 30 2013, 04:58 PM) Does this mean having more cards does not reflect well when applying for house/car loan even with good payment record as they see it as high commitment?

It may if your CL is really high. Long ago a senior here mentioned he had to decrease one of his credit card CL to RM1K just to get his loan approved. Anyway, don't worry about it unless you are told to do so.

I'm planning a family trip (4 people) to travel to US next year.
Would like to know which card I can get the most benefit/discount when I purchase the flight ticket? I'm currently using Amex2 Platinum and Stan Chart Plat.
Thanks in advance.

AMEX2 Plat since it earns you 5X Treats Points. As for SCB, and think you use the MBB 2 Visa or MC and earn 1X TP even better than SCB reward redemption program.

Get it for your entire family. it's FREE and got nothing to loose. Even if flying with AA, get the Big Shot account. Now remember this, make sure for each individual use a different email account when signing up, e.g.. your wife and children as each individual will have their own account (for whichever airline). My son is going to USA Again on Business Class. In this article you will note that MBB 2 AMEX TP conversion to Enrich Miles is actually pretty good. New Toshiba i5 for RM999 and Enrich Redemption. In this article I showed that converting to airmiles may not necessary optimized your return especially if you fly AA where we can sometimes get really cheap tickets during off peak periods or when MAS is having a sale. The BEst Credit Card for FREE Entries to Airport Lounge.

That is exactly what the SA told me, 6 months to re-apply but CS say 3 months. Looks like in maybank every staff got their own policy. I am now applying from public bank and using my car loan to back up my application. This post has been edited by razifrahman: Sep 2 2013, 03:37 PM

Perhaps u can try to apply through temp booth. Same situation with you also, I have just try to apply it after two weeks during freeze period. Surprisingly, its was approved, but the CL that offer kinda lower a bit.

Hi I don't know whether I'm in the right thread or not. I'm still new in Credit Cards so I believe this question is a bit redundant to some of you guys By the way I'm using Maybank 2 Cards (AMEX & VISA) 1) Last weekend I spend quite numbers of transactions. As I know, with AMEX I can enjoy 5% rebate. How do I get the rebate? Is it auto rebate immediately or take a while. Should I make payment first to my cards billing or wait until rebate first? 2) I'm planning to make EzyPay, so the monthly installment will be appear on my bill right? Thanks in advance!
