Someone called and told me that they can help to pay ur CC outstanding and then you pay back as installment monthly to your CC. They call it CC refinance. Anyone heard about this b4? The interest range between 7%-14%. TQ

I'm planning to use my card to pay the downpayment for my new car.
I recall reading somewhere in here that some dealers/distributors won't allow this if the amount is big... my DP is RM45k.

Share you thoughts/experience please.

Hi all, would like to seek advice from you guys.

I believe some of here got apply housing loan from PBB, and normally bank will issued a credit card to the applicator who are get success housing loan from bank.

May I know is there possible can be waiver for the GST by bank? Or we need to pay for it?

I do know for others credit card, yes, we need to pay for gst or redeemed the point, but how about this situation of it? And can I cancel the credit card on after day?

hmm.gif

I think a better question is, what are the benefits that you stand to gain from that card? Dont worry too much about the GST. If the card is good enough, the benefits will eventually offset the GST smile.gif

But I don't think this is good enough compare to others credit cards that I used.

Because I think I'm not going to use it for daily or others spend as this is only for reward point but no rebate.

Just keep for future and see how first, may think to cancel after a year before GST charge. hmm.gif

if you have not use it at all, try calling their CS and ask whether you can cancel right away with the GST waived
explain nicely to them that their housing loan agent asked you to apply for it together with your housing loan

if they are not willing to waive, then just keep and use it, cancel it anytime before your annivesary

The cost of the transaction depends on the CIMB Bank Account TYPE you have... only Basic Savings/Current Account gets 50 sen (1st 2 transactions)

if your CC is going to expire soon, do you think the bank will issue you a new CC automatically? or they will assess your payment records before issuing a new CC to you?
