Why nowadays it's so hard to get a credit card?
I'm 28 and wanted to get a credit card...
almost tried all the credit card application, but turn out no response.

I'm earning more than than 2k, i gave them epf and 3 month salary, still none of them approved.
No commitment, no car loan, no house, nothing, just purely normal employee...

Nothing as 100% Guarantee Approval... sweat.gif
Is the bank who give CC approval Not the Agent said so, sometimes also depends on Your Luck
As I said before, I'm 30 Something baru got my 1st Credit Card after keluar kerja more than 10 years rolleyes.gif

What I know the bank are very stingy-strict when come to Credit Card application Now, mostly will reject ppl with No Credit History
They also need your latest 3 months Bank Statements which your salary credited to that Account as Supporting Document beside yr Salaries Slips,
EPF printout. This can Convince them, You betul-betul earn that Much $ tiada Tipu orang (This my own Experience).

OR You can Sign-Up for Fixed Deposit Pledges for Credit Card (min. $20k-$30k)
But Not every bank Accept it....Hears Maybank, HLB got this kind of service
the CL usually max up to the FD Figure that pledge only

& Lastly, Try to get Yourself Local Bank Credit Card (RHB, HLB) to build up yr Credit History 1st X Rush to apply Overseas Bank CC they x approve if you x have Credit History... blink.gif

You x have Credit Card is not the End of the World...so No Big Deal still got Debit Card to carry on... wink.gif

Major drawback of this card
1. need to spend at least rm500 per month (10 swipes with min rm50)
2. only 2 categories + 1 bonus categories which is mobile are entitle for the cash back in a month
3. Is annual fee waivable ?
4. you will have to pay RM10 if you switch to new category

dear all....

I have some issue regarding the hsbc amanah and would like to seek advice..

the Government service tax fee is charge upon you received the card and after you activate it or once the bank approved your card?

then bank is claming that the fee will be impose once the bank approved the card. but it just won't make sense. if somehow i didn't received the card and no activation, can the bank still impose me ?

many thanks

Hi. I just got my first credit card (Citibank Cash Back Platinum). Before this I'm using Maybank Debit Card. Somehow I feel that its annual fee quite high and thinking to change to other card.

My minimum spending should be around RM600 permonth (200 on petrol, 200 on grocery, 200 on bills).

Which cc is good for me..Quite blur here..

Thanks

I don't like Cimb because when we redeem things by using our collected points they charge us courier charges.

Can't understand your question.
If card upgrade/replacement, they can transfer to the new card.

I have called Citibank to cancel the card. It seems that if I swipe 2 times /month (any amount), they can waive the annual fees..Now, I'm not sure either want to cancel it or not rclxub.gif ..
