Currently, I think the most necessary 1 is petrol. While i did not travel a lot and didnt use touch n go so frequently. So for UOB one card is the best choice for the freshie like me? Thanks for your reply ya. Highly appreciate. Thanks biggrin.gif

Bro, the word freshie is too general. If you just need a card for petrol less than RM200, then yes UOB One Card is good. However, if your annual income is >RM30K, you have more options.

Click here to my review on UOB One Card.

Click here to my article titled The Best Credit Cards for Petrol 2012 where I also touched on AmBank Carz card.

If you really want my opinion on what card may be good for you go to this thread and fill up the "form" tongue.gif

Want FREE Money? click here and read my article on Standard Chartered Bank Business Gold credit card where you can get up to RM250 if you apply online. And for limited time, this card also earns you 5% cash back for petrol thumbup.gif

Wao...this is informative..now my income is >RM30K annually. According to the link, i think UOB card really give more rebate which is 5% on petrol. But my desired is get a free annual fee CC. As i know i need to use for 60 transaction per year to waived it. My question: is that every Credit card from any bank is necessary to pay government tax per year?sorry for noob question. Thanks.

Yes, it is a mandatory thing. All credit cards have to pay GST, some banks allow you to off-set using reward points, some banks will absorb the costs.
It depends but the ultimate point is GST is a mandatory thing for credit cards.

That's what I use my UOB ONE Card for... petrol and TnG reloads (@ selected petrol stations).
I pump only when it's EMPTY, thus can't time weekends.

If you use BHP + UOB ONE card, you can get 5% Cash rebate + 2% SmartCa$h

By right no if purely base on your monthly income. BNM guideline Minimum Income RM24K/year or RM2K per month. Having said that, if got Bonus, then your income will be more than RM24K/year and therefore by right you can apply for a credit card based on annual income.

Anybody here has the Maybank Diamanté Visa Infinite Card tongue.gif

I found out that this card is issued to customer who is a Maybank Diamanté Private Client. This is apparently different from their Private Banking and is strictly by invitation only. I'm not sure if Maybank Malaysia is issuing this Maybank Diamanté Visa Infinite Card now but they do have Maybank Diamanté Private Client here in Malaysia.

Last month I published an article titled My Credit Cards offer Exclusive Discount for Agoda Online Hotel Room Reservations.

I also posted two short posts on HotelClub.Com CIMB Promotion and RHB Credit Card 5% Discount for Hotel Bookings with AsiaWebDirect.com

I just published another article on hotel room reservation, this time is about Agoda.com with Maybank Visa/MasterCard Versus HotelClub.com with CIMB Visa credit cards. Click here to read my article titled Agoda Maybank Versus HotelClub CIMB - Which Is Better for Booking your Hotel Rooms?

at RM2,000.00 per month, i would not recommend you to own a credit card. do read up on maybank's debit card which offers 0.5% cash back rebate...

they are visa debit cards which are accepted worldwide.

at RM2,000.00 a month, it will be tempting and very likely that you would start to a life of cc debt.

Hello there... I've got annual income about 150k p.a...

I currently having citibank clear card for movie...

Applying platinum 2 card to max rebate purposes for shopping privilege...

I'm thinking of applying another visa signature card for status purposes. Would prefer if can access for airport lounge to sup for my parents... Any recommendation may be can also gives me more shopping privilege discounts?

CIMB visa signature requires degree cert where as I only got diploma

HSBC visa signature no airport lounge access but quite an amount for shopping discounts

HL visa signature points will expire but unlimited access

Waiver for annual fee also part of my concern...

Kind of dilemma here... Might need help

ADD on alliance card visa signature unlimited access to even PPA

Two different stories there. If you still recall the date and time of the first conversation, you may request the CS to refer to the phone recording as evidence to check what is the actual conversation. In future, always follow up.

White is probably the new Gold. And Platinum credit cards usually are in silver or black but some of theirs are in blue sweat.gif

I have a CIMB Mastercard Gold Petronas CC.
I've always paid on time (no single default payments).

Can I request the bank to raise the credit limit?
