OCBC did ask for the loan declaration as well. I recalled I filled up mine when I applied for OCBC Ti.

QUOTE(FK003 @ Jul 9 2012, 11:58 PM) Im new to Credit Card, Sir, may i know if i wan to apply for CC my basic salary not meet 24k per annum, but if with my allowance will easy hit 24k above. will the bank approve it? If your allowance is fixed allowance, then it should be alright.THX If it is a variable allowance (like Chipsmore, sekejap ada sekejap takde) then it might not be possible. QUOTE(exhauster @ Jul 22 2012, 11:03 PM) Recently I just get employed and is less than a month from start working. I want to know is there any minimum requirement for working duration in order to subscribe credit card? At least 3 months is the safest in order for them to evaluate and approve your card effectively. All I need is GSC Hong Leong only where I spend alot of time watch movie there and hope to get discount.. Gross Income would be over 30k. Any idea? |

OCBC Ti's annual fees can be waived with 12 swipes in a year. It is widely published on their site.
http://ocbccards.com.my/Titanium_Master_Card.aspx (Click on Card Privileges' tab) An excerpt from the tab: Zero Annual Fee with 12 Swipes per Annum Sign up today and we'll waive your first year's annual fee. Subsequently, just swipe your OCBC Titanium Card at least 12 times every year, and we will automatically waive annual fees for both Principal and Supplementary Cardmembers. If you achieve RM 10k of spending per year will get GST waived as well. 6 months is the cooling period? I saw people posted on this section got their card within 3 months after the first rejection. Thanks. https://forum.lowyat.net/index.php?showtopic=2035710You may refer to the above thread to know which are the merchants that accept AmEx (not only limited to petrol stations). Of course you can start contributing when you have one. |

QUOTE(CalvinCLK @ Sep 19 2012, 11:27 AM) How long is advisable if I want to terminate my newly applied credit card? Got SCB Plat around May12, no longer in use after I spent the RM300 cash rebate. I don't think there is any advisable time frame, you can terminate anytime you want.Of course, terminate before the anniversary to avoid paying GST. |

QUOTE(nightwalkertzs @ Sep 27 2012, 12:58 PM) Wao...this is informative..now my income is >RM30K annually. According to the link, i think UOB card really give more rebate which is 5% on petrol. But my desired is get a free annual fee CC. As i know i need to use for 60 transaction per year to waived it. My question: is that every Credit card from any bank is necessary to pay government tax per year?sorry for noob question. Thanks. Yes, it is a mandatory thing. All credit cards have to pay GST, some banks allow you to off-set using reward points, some banks will absorb the costs. It depends but the ultimate point is GST is a mandatory thing for credit cards. |

QUOTE(kwhou @ Oct 14 2012, 01:25 AM) I was a contract staff and only converted to permanent this year's June. For the past 2 years plus, I was approved with CIMB Direct Access, Maybankard2Gold Card (they called and offered to me) and most recently OCBC Ti. So far it is fine, so long you can provide them with payslip that proves you have steady income and fulfills their requirements. I think credit card is still OK to be approved if you are a contract staff but probably not loan, not that easy I heard if one is with contract employment. |

QUOTE(onejme @ Nov 17 2012, 01:30 AM) Sorry, noob question.. let say the phone is rm 2400.. they straight away charged u rm 2400 in your statement or only rm 100 per month? You will pay only RM 100/month but your credit limit is reduced by RM 2,400.You will get back this RM 2,400 into your credit limit once you complete your installment. |

QUOTE(arthurlim89 @ Mar 29 2013, 11:36 PM) guy, i have 1 question, i have 1 UOB credit card nearly 1 year, i was told that i can apply any credit card without salary slip or income tax. just fotocopy my credit card and IC then can apply already, is that true? No, it is not. This no longer works. BNM already set a rule where sufficient documents need to be presented in order to get another credit card.Last time can do this but not now. |

QUOTE(loyalkkk @ Apr 28 2013, 12:41 AM) For your all info, I want to apply OCBC Titanium credit card. My gross income is Rm3k+. But EPF statement only showed 3 months record. Do you think the bank will approve my application? All I can say good luck for your OCBC Ti application. Another question, do I need to open a saving account before applying OCBC credit card? Thanks in advance Usually if your first credit card application is OCBC Ti, the chances to be rejected are pretty high. This is based on other forummers' experience as well. Nevertheless, this worth a try. Nope, I don't have any savings account with OCBC. I paid my bill via GIRO through Maybank. |

QUOTE(fly126 @ Apr 28 2013, 12:54 AM) No Need to open New saving account... just do Bank Transfer 10-20 cent cheap only GIRO transfer still requires RM 0.50 to RM 2.00 per transaction isn't it?FYI, OCBC Tit. Card Not an EZ Get Credit Card but You can try to apply I also got Rejected By OCBC recently... My Best RECOMMANDATION to You, UOB One Card (EZ to get Card Approval from UOB) The revised rate will only take effect on 2nd May. |
