Speaking of e-Filing, early last week I sent that Master Giro Application Form to IRAS to sign up for the 12-month installment thingy for income tax. Do they normally send back a letter acknowledging that it's set up successfully?
*
with EP, i paid through auto-deduct every month. after signed up with my POSB, IRAS will post a letter of the statement indicating monthly basis taxable amount on 6th of every month.

1 day, i think more than 50k bikes entering and only that few accident . not to mention the bike that got into accident might be a Singaporean with a Singapore bike. so not a big deal as long as you are careful enough.

"However, what local residents most want is the creation of a rapid transit system link between Johor Baru and Singapore as close to 100,000 Malaysians commute daily between both destinations to work and study."

"Between 30,000 and 40,000 people in Johor commute to and from the island nation daily."

"It is estimated that 150,000 Malaysians are working in Singapore. Of this, about 41,000 are commuting daily (mostly from areas within SJER)."

deodorant is right. or you join MNC company in malaysia that has worldwide office. we have plants & office at 10 locations in the world. that was how i was transferred from kl office to sg plant cum office due to business unit divestment.

i did apply for engineer post around 5 years ago when SG PB went to KL to conduct interview and immediately the following week was offered to work in SG but i rejected as did not want join back consultant in construction, in searching o&g that time.

you can try & pay attention to any SG company conducting interview in KL through newspaper, jobs website, those respective company website.

anybody can share their driving experience driving from singapore to KL ?
cost ? time ? speed ? car type ? thanks  nod.gif
decided a car is the only way to go for my weekly commute  sweat.gif
am estimating to reach within +-3 hours if singapore to kl is 360+ km  hmm.gif
*
toll MYR (4x.xx)*2, depends on which toll you use. petrol your choice ron95 or ron97 around (2x-3x liters, depends on how is your driving style)*2. 1.6 sedan. speed limit 90-110km/hr, malacca that stretch 90km/hr. 3hr 15min-3.5 hr from jb-->kl, house-house. initially driving at night may not be familiar and just be extra careful and slow, once use to it, then it is ok.
pay attention & careful to lot of lorries/buses if evening/night driving, flash light and horn whenever necessary. sometimes, got police patrol car. slow down when nearing flyover. sometimes, got group of bikers. sometimes, got high beam flash from back. sometimes, got road hog at the most right lane. sometimes, got a group of race cars. when feel tired, can stop at R&R to rest a while but be careful especially it is night.
not like to take flight as time not flexible and klia/lcct around 45min-1 hr from house.

not to discourage. don't come if can't make certain sacrifice, there are always pros & cons, simple as that. depends on individual lifestyle.

Two issues. Firstly, you're a fresh grad. Therefore, why should any employer bother to go through the trouble and hassle of employing you i.e. a foreigner over a local citizen/PR fresh grad?

Secondly finance line is not exactly hot in recent history, what with HSBC cutting 30k jobs and all.
*
nod.gif also the quota percentage.

HSBC cuts more than 100 jobs in Singapore

HI, im currently looking for jobs in singapore from various job portal. but it seem like no responses..start to feel a lil bit frustrate sad.gif

Can anyone give me some advice.
Im fresh graduate in finance hoping to get my first job in singapore and have applied mostly in finance line. Is the employer in Singapore more likely to choose their citizen rather than malaysian? am i able to get offer interview by just use job portal or  how?? seek for advice
*
not to discourage you but that is the situation now after 1 July 2011 on FT. what is more you are fresh and not PR/Singaporean. getting S-pass for you is also lot hassle if not enough of quota.
u should try in malaysia instead of just sg. some overseas banks are setting up new branches in KL if you follow up business news daily.
as a finance graduate, do you follow up on the market trend and adapt to it? sorry, i am from engineering background.

Even if I stay in JB...but my pay / work in SGD is in SG entity....

How about KWSP?
*
you need to get your msia employer to submit CP21 form to LHDN. your HR should know about this since you mentioned MNC.
then after that with BE form e-filing, you just put in '0' in income if that particular year you do not have any derived income from msia.

CP21

since you work & income is from SG entity, your msia employer no need to contribute your KWSP legally. it depends on your negotiation offer with your company and your company top management discretion.
since you are also considered foreigner (if you are not PR/S'porean), you need no to contribute cpf in SG. also your SG employer no need to contribute cpf for you.
