New tele-zooms also not that light wat tongue.gif Unless you're talking about those mirror type or compact type which usually can't compete in term of optical performance.

yes, that's the major set back!
the older the heavier because mostly metal built! the later will have more plastic and the size is getting smaller.

i am a nex 3 user, last time when choosing between nex 3 and nex 5 , in order to save 3-400, i choose 3. but now i feel regret. C3 cant use remote shutter, which is quite useful...

other than that its not much different for me.
*
sorry to ask, but what's the remote shutter for?

Yes. 5N. For the Magnesium alloy body + grip , remote control/ Bulb mode, full HD video, touch screen. I think it's worth the extra price.
*
remote control and bulb mode? The price I got offered for 5n was 2.8. Is it fair?

Remote shutter to remotely take photo lar... Usually used in long exposure Or bulb mode (cam mounted to tripod or anything stable) to ensure cam din shake... Coz even your finger press shutter also might shake the cam a bit resulting shaky photos...
As for bulb mode, is means shutter will open and remain as long as you didnt release it... Usually used when taking light dance photos...

u won't regret later.
even i have the 5, i would like to upgrade to 5N for the better image quality and touch screen.

anyone here can answer me about the Nex-5N click sound issue? thanks~!
*
I bought mine about 4 days before CNY, click sound is still there.

I only know its there when I purposely shake it. Until now, with my normal usage, photo and video shooting, never hear the click sound at all.

Guys, if im not going to buy any additional lens, as in just using the Nex5N without upgrading the lens or watever, do you think its okay with it or i might as well get other non changeble lens compact?
*
Even if you don't invest in additional lenses, you can still get the 5N, as the picture quality will be much better than any point and shoot compact.

haha! nice to here someone else is getting Konica Hexanon lens too!
here I think mainly is me to play on Konica Hexanon lenses, because it is not common mount.
Same like u, I opt for Konica Hexanon for its affordable price and quite a good reputable sharp prime lenses.
The most reputable one is 57mm F1.2, but the price is too high and very rare! (not to mentionthe M-Hexanon 50mm F1.2 for Leica M mount which is super over price!)

So i go for 50mm F1.4 (F16 early version) which someone said it is the cheaper successor for 57/1.2 with the same 7 elements in 6 groups design.
It is still rare compare to 50mm F1.7. Now the 50/1.4 is always with my camera beside the SEL18200.
Now I have collected for Konica Hexanon: 40/1.8, 50/1.4 (early), 57/1.4 (white ring), 50/1.7 (early F16), 50/1.7(late F22), 28/3.5 (early), 135/3.5(early), 135/3.5(late), 80-200mm F4.5 (late compact zoom).

All bid from Ebay, some are come in package. it is quite a gambling to bid from ebay, especially worry on getting defected items or worst missing parcel!
I think i have enough Konica Hexanon unless can get good deal on the UC version!
My next target will be the Voigtlander or Zeiss, but i think i need to sell off most of the lenses to fund it!
*
You sure have a very huge collection of Konicas, struck by LBA? laugh.gif And I assume the 135mm f3.5 is good, coz you even bought 2! I'm still missing a macro atm, have anything in mind to recommend? A few sites did mention Konica Macro-Hexanon AR 55mm f3.5, but working distance seems rather near which may not be appropriate in some cases.

As for missing parcel, so far I haven't experience any even with the cheap First Class Mail. For more expensive and fragile items, I'll opt for Priority Mail which is faster and trackable.

all lens i bought from ebay are super cheap... good luck of me

MD 50mm f1.7 is around RM100 include postage...
*
RM100 is a pretty good price, especially including postage. Haiz, guess my timing not right... Always got "rivals" rebut-rebut with me.

More like a microscope, to get 5x magnification have to be 11m from subject... Strictly for static objects sweat.gif Aperture f11 to f32, did not seem to mention focal length in review hmm.gif

I'm really considering to invest in LA-EA2 + SAL1650 to go with my 5N.

Anyone think that this is not a good idea please voice out before I burn a big hole in my wallet! tongue.gif

Why this setup because I take a lot of pictures of my 2 year old kid, indoor, so I really need faster focusing and faster lens.

the SAL 1650 is not sold as a separate lens yet currently.. it is bonded to an a77 body.. so if you somehow managed to get the lens on its own there will be no proper warranty from Sony Malaysia..

LA-EA2 is HUGE!!! Totally took away the point of having a nex system... you probably better off with A77 & SAL1650 combo... Also LA-EA2 is not that cheap too... unless you have a CZ or G lens lying around, then yes, LA-EA2 seems like a good idea...
