Added on February 28, 2012, 3:00 pmbut i wonder y in 3rd picture the bokeh is in hexagon shape sweat.gif
*
not a bokeh expert nor even a camera expert but think the heptagon bokeh (not hex coz i think i counted 7 sides i/o 6 on the clearest one) is caused by your aperture fins... If your lens aperture fins is 6 fins type, then you will have a hexagon shaped bokeh... if you have about 12 fins aperture, then most likely you will get close to a round shaped ones... so guessing your lens have a 7 aperture fins...

Remote shutter to remotely take photo lar... Usually used in long exposure Or bulb mode (cam mounted to tripod or anything stable) to ensure cam din shake... Coz even your finger press shutter also might shake the cam a bit resulting shaky photos...
As for bulb mode, is means shutter will open and remain as long as you didnt release it... Usually used when taking light dance photos...

LA-EA2 is HUGE!!! Totally took away the point of having a nex system... you probably better off with A77 & SAL1650 combo... Also LA-EA2 is not that cheap too... unless you have a CZ or G lens lying around, then yes, LA-EA2 seems like a good idea...

Enough said i think...

Added on March 8, 2012, 5:40 pmadditionally i think times square shops mostly pro nikon (personal opinion don't shoot me)... was just there yesterday and amazed that none have a nex 7 in stock...
anyway, you can already see in this forum... just look for 1 nikon 1 series thread... i don't see any... point me to it when you see one... at least for nex, you've got a legion of brothers to help you when you need assistance on settings and anomalies if you ever encounter any... yes, 1 series may have advantage in certain aspects but overall, nex wins hands down...

I think the only difference between ea1 and ea2 is just that ea2 supports pdaf (phase detection af) that's why there is a mirror in the ea2 adapter. ea1 would still be using cdaf that's why it doesn't need the mirror. mirror is to reflect some light onto the sensor for focusing coz nex does not support pdaf natively.

please correct me if i am wrong... still learning too... biggrin.gif

Lolz, now is in Pre-order status, guess they don't have it that fast yet.

I shall wait, but nothing will tempt me away from my current setup yet.

Should be interesting, trying to manual focus with it.
*
The pre-order ones are for m-mount which is a redesigned 50mm f0.95 lens. the native e-mount is already available (in us and hk anyways). native e-mount is 1k usd and m-mount is 4.3k usd available is sept.

http://www.ebay.com/itm/SLR-Magic-Noktor-H...=item20c1f8c4d0

http://noktor.com/products.php - check est shipping dates.

steve huff mentioned that he loves the m-mount but not the native e-mount version (2 separate testing done)

further to this, there are two versions of m-mount. rf coupled and non-rf coupled. one is 4.3k usd and the other 3k usd.

That's just a cold shoe adapter. No electronics to and fro the camera. Cold shoe adapters have been around quite a bit.

I think only Metabones EF to E mount adapter is the only adapter that can allow NEX to control the aperture. AF is lost tho.

Unless you already have a collection of Nikkors, I don't think an adapter of such cost is worth it sweat.gif Can already get an E-mount lens for that price.
*
That adapter was for canon ef mount btw. Anyway you are right. unless you have a collection of usm lenses to use, no point getting one...

I don't think they are comparable... The FE with 16mm is a add on... And the 16mm isn't that sharp... Net effect is 10mm FE with a but not that sharp... Samyang is sharp and is slightly wider at 8mm but no af... So depending on your needs really... :-)

Also good news for 5 and 5N users...

Any idea for the Carl Zeiss 50mm F2.8 German Vs SEL50F18?Wondering which should i buy
As i understand that CZ available for MF and SEL50 is AF, how about the IQ ?
*
Is this the czj lens? Anyway personally i would go for sel lens then czj. For me, what cz is best at is their t* coatings. Yes optically czj might be really good but the cz colors just isnt there (no multicoat i think). Couple with the fact that you lose af and needed to get a good adapter, i dont think any upside in optical quality (not the the sel lens is a slouch either) is worth more than the diff in price and af loss.
Besides, if the sel lens is slow, switch it over to mf and you can stilll use peaking.
2 cents.

sound like they wana con me, yah, with extra small flash, i saw it just RM399 (no yet discount)
so 2499+399, still cheaper then 2999
*
Err... Do check what is the extra small flash coz there is a packaged small flash together in the box... 2999 is the retail price everywhere. From your list of items, it looks like you're only getting everything in the box and that's it (yes the small flash IS part of the package in the box). Some places 2499 will get you everything in the box plus 8gb mem card, cam pouch/bag and essential kit... So be really sure of what you're getting.

Is that for NEX-7 Kit? Mind stating what extra accessories came with it and the shop name?
Thinking to get also biggrin.gif
*
Yes this is for the 7kit. Standard sony 16gb (class 4) sd card and standard sony nex bag... only managed to milk an extra screen protector (although not the correct size)...
Anyway traded in the sd card for an extreme sd card (16gb, 45mb/s version) for an extra rm50.
And definitely new sony malaysia set as seal is unbroken and have managed to register for the extra 3m warranty in sony malaysia website.
