anyone know when the 5r got stock, with 16-50 bundle?
i need a small camera before december =="

Goto ebay.com search for "5n battery decoded" , seller is fotocola.

So far ok for me,but i don't know anything more about this seller. First time buying something from him/her. Do your own research and buy at own caution. I think someone else is also selling nex batteries here in lowyat, do a search and look for that.

My 2 third party batteries so far (half a year now) has not given me any problem.

I'm looking to upgrade to NEX 6, so have to get rid of my 5N... Any taker? Or should I keep 5N as backup? =)

There was this one idea at the back of my head, that the reason why Sony is so slow on pushing out new lens for NEX: they are planning for the rumored full frame NEX, and they are designing full frame NEX lens ala nikon DX/FX lines that's why the much delayed NEX e mount apsc lens...

So perhaps in the future we will have NEX in 2 flavors like Nikon/Sony: apsc and full frame. (awwWWWwwwww yeah!)

guys, whats the difference between 5R and 6?

I counted these -

1. viewfinder for 6
2. touch screen for 5R
3. buildin flash for 6

thats it. anything else? the rest of the specs seems similar

NEX 6 got a mode dial, ISO standard hotshoe connection
i think the build material of 5R is metal

Sony emount Too expensive
Canon & nikon selling rm300 only but sony almost rm1k. feel not worth to me.

Bro, nth is not worth... and the built is not the same...
if i'm not wrong, canon one is made by plastic and the aperture blade is not so smooth...

e-mount is built for compact... compact means costly...

50mm e-mount wasn't considered compact at all...
but OSS and metal construction does jack up the price of it...

Nex 5N firmware bug! Camera stops Focusing
I installed the latest firmware and got the following bug:

When I try to focus a object that is to close a few times the camera gets locked up. It wont focus anymore at all unless I zoom in/out.

at around 00:50 the bug happens, but I also had it happen a lot earlier, like after 2-3 focus attemps.

at around 1:32 I use the zoom and it fixes the problem.

anyone else have the same bug or is it just me?

Wow.. Apparently Hasselblad is joining forces with NEX's E-mount and have connectivity with A-mount via adapter! This is big!
