Well, it's rather cheap but hard to find reviews on... It's also known as the export version of Helios iianm. Can get for ~RM100 via eBay, 1 member from dpreview even managed to buy 1 for USD5 + USD5 shipping laugh.gif

Leather? Definitely not my type because I sweat a lot laugh.gif Still prefer the good-old neck/shoulder strap.

Faux leather. As for sweating, unless the top of your hand sweats and covered by that grip, I reckon it's a non-issue. If the inside of my palm sweats, I'll just release the grip, air our my palm and voila! Dry hands again. Neck/shoulder strap makes the whole NEX setup swings around. And with lenses like the CZ24 and 18-55, it'll sway as I walk. I prefer being at the ready with camera in hand, but I'd like not having to hold on to it all the time. Hence the grip strap.

Aha, personal preference I guess. For me I rather have the cam around my neck and leave both hands free for something else. Btw, the grip looks good and price is reasonable. I usually don't have the patience to search for stuffs in Japan laugh.gif Them shops can be rather big and have so many many many things rclxub.gif

The grip should work with NEX-5, although the bottom tripod connector may look out of place with the smaller size of the NEX-5.

Should be around the A-mount's price.

Well, get A-mount also same, since it's manual focus..

Only you can recycle it and use it with your a-mount if u have an adapter for your NEX.

If you own an alpha Camera, then yea. Might as well go A-mount.

If not, get the E-mount one should be the same. Smaller size summore.

Anybody have recommendation for a compact bag to carry these items together: NEX-7, 18-55mm, CZ24mm, F20AM flash, extra batteries, chargers, and PSVita(external battery, games, chargers)? Using the free bag I got with the NEX-7, and it's bursting at the seams now. Eyeing the Lowepro Passport Sling, mainly coz it doesn't scream "hey I'm carrying a camera, come rob me" look.

Prefer slings/messenger type please. Backpacks and toploaders all have that typical camera bag looks.

Guys. Is marumi super dhg for 120 cheap? Lol. Argh. I wanna get macro filter fast. Lol.

I bought the same Marumi s dhg CPL for the same price, probably in July last year. It works and you can twist it to adjust the amount of polarization. Yesterday, I had to wash it under running water after beach visits. No worries about water seeping it as the area between the 2 glasses remained dry after washing. I would recommend this filter.
