Thanks for the quick response. That's what I thought too initally but seems like eveything is opposite now. Blurr with VC.

loks like another D7000 problem has surfaced

only way to confirm is to bring it back to the shop and try with other units,or it may very well be the AF bug on the D7000, as its known to be not so compatible with 3rd party lenses......

The photo looks like the VC is "still" working?
Did you notice the VC working, is the image in the viewfinder shaky? Or possible the motor problem?

I think better send to shop to confirm and compare with other units.
*
The VC is working as I can see a slight jerk when the VC kicks in. Already send back to the shop. They will get another unit for me as they do not have stock at the moment.

Not sure if it's D7000 problem or Tamron VC got problem. Will check it out with the replacement unit when it's available.

so are u saying the tamron is the only lens u have?
looks more to me like the VC got terbalik, and instead of OFF its ON and vice versa tongue.gif

also for me, i wouldnt trust any VC / VR except for VR2 to really get the claimed 3-4 stops of reduction.

Nope, I have the 18-105 kit lens and 35 mm 1.8 lens. 18-105 no issue. The shop also said maybe they terbalik the VC switch...ha ha ha... Made in China what to do....

The AF issue is mainly for Live View. 3rd Party lens need to update their chip; This also applies to other newer bodies like D5100. If not wrong, new batch lens should have updated chip.

But there is another problem actually with 3rd party lens... it seems when using AF Assist Lamp, the focusing accuracy for 3rd party lens is not accurate, not sure this problem already been reported as seems no fix in new batch of lens which fixed the Live View AF issue. When using SB700 AF Assist it's worst...

If terbalik, then when you turn on VC, the VC should be working already; but seems you notice it working, so I guess it's not terbalik, haha

maybe can turn off AF asist on the SB900, or is there a calibration on the camera that can compensate on the "overfocus" with the Sb900 AF assist?

That's true. I can see the VC kick in. Probably the VC module is over compensating.

Thanks for the link. I'm aware of this. In fact, I tried to wait a while after 1/2 pressing the shutter but the result is worst than immediate press (see earlier picture I attached). Looks like the VC module got problem.

Hi guys, I just got my D5100 yesterday and I was wondering why can't I view additional information of the picture when I press up or down. The button works when I select and browse through the menu. I'm using the basic kit lens and had the picture format set to JPEG (fine).

Street pricing should be roughly RM450~RM480 I guess. Depending on your nego skill.
