QUOTE(Andy214 @ Jan 17 2012, 11:57 AM) Actually for your case, I don't think worth and a good move paying so much for 24-70mm. With the money, you could buy a D7000 + Lenses + Flash. Maybe still have change or you can just buy the body first, then slowly invest on other, see which lens suits you or you need. Then after 2 years, you can consider whether you need really a Full Frame? That time who knows, maybe you can afford better things already. Just my personal opinion; besides, maybe sooner or later you will feel the "complications" for purchasing the lens for > RM5K and whether it's really worth it and need to? But anyway, since you have purchase it, try to appreciate it and enjoy it. If somehow conscious came to you or you feel the above, then you might still have other solution and some luck for minimal loss. To add more "salt" into Agito's pain You said you could probably only afford the new full-frame body 2 years down the road, 2 years is quite a long duration and many things could happen, including your commitment to life

(although it still not good in low light compare to my phone ) I believe you are NOT enjoying your lens now. Otherwise you wouldn't need to keep mentioning your body is old body and condemn on the ISO. Unless you are saying you enjoying your phone camera, then I believe. *more salt* This post has been edited by vearn27: Jan 17 2012, 04:57 PM

Hi, just got myself a new lens Tamron 18-270 PZD. I found the VC seems to be having some problem. When I switch on the VC, the picture will get blurr but without VC it's ok. Also found that how fast you press the shutter will also affect the result. If you press the shutter fast then it will not get blurr. If you press 1/2 way then hold for a while before pressing full, it will become blurr. This only happen when the shutter speed is slow (eg 1/40 s at 270 mm). As you increase the shutter speed, it will become better. Here is some photo to show. Is my lens defective or this is normal? But your second scenario about holding for a while seems contradict with my above statement. You can experiement more, if still same send to the shop and compare with their other unit.

The photo looks like the VC is "still" working? Did you notice the VC working, is the image in the viewfinder shaky? Or possible the motor problem? I think better send to shop to confirm and compare with other units. This post has been edited by Andy214: Jan 18 2012, 11:50 AM
