Hi, planning to get a 35mm 1.8g when i'm visiting US. Is the warranty for lenses international?
*
so you're going to the US, buy the lens, use it, then come back after that? or you are going to stay there ,i.e. study there and eventually come back here?
my advise is get it here go holiday there come back and enjoy the local warranty, or if staying there long term, buy it there, when you come back, sell it there before coming back here.

another word of advise is to get these consummable nearer to your domicile/home, less hassle with warranty and such, unless of course you can get it almost half the price over there, then i would probably tumpang buy one also...... tongue.gif

Just surf around for which model you're interested then get him to quote. Simple smile.gif
I have the FS400AW, but my 16-35 cannot store standing up, and when it lie down it takes up a lot of space.
*
you need a larger bag.......i have a large backpack, but i dont think i need it at the moment

think not yet arrive in msia yet.
i'll ask the supplier when i see one this week to collect my lowepro apex 60.
the bags are the same as thinktank retro 10 / 20 / 30 series.
simply going to the website already can see and can read the bag descriptions and what it can fit.
Fits: Pro DSLR with grip and attached zoom lens.
Fits: Pro DSLR with grip and attached 70-200mm f/2.8 zoom lens.
etc etc etc.

looks like a rival to the TT UD series...... rclxms.gif

Nah... more like the retrospective series but i think the Lowepro looks tougher and the strap are strong and comfy as well. Also very low profile.
*
yeah mate, we know you're a lowepro mate...... tongue.gif

bag is jz a space to store ur camera...
no nid to buy sky high one lar...
buy one dat suit ur needs & price comfortable can adi...
*
different strokes for different folks there goes the saying........
different people have different needs, different wants, thats why there are many bags out there, some properly priced, some overly priced, some just wanto to flaunt it.......wouldn't you if you have the means ?

for me, i prefer to go for functionality and usage as my use for the bag are many. i.e. with and without laptop, with and without camera, long haul traveliing, short day trips, etc, etc, thats why i have a few bags for different usage, the other most important factor is the protection for the camera and gears

How does the lens fare if shooting those school performances? (Dances, silat performances, etc)
*
quite good, but make sure you have enough light, else you need to use flash, very high ISO.
a tripod will definitely help, i have the shutter at continues to capture the moments.
it is advise not to zoom at max when capturing shots, for me mostly i would stop at 180-190mm

I suppose I should just go for the D5100 XD
Based on the time line, it seems to refurbish in 2 years time, hopefully it's accurate.
I think ur trying to say replace, refurbish means  fix.  biggrin.gif

I won't regret this right?
Will it be very heavy?
IMHO, the learner to enthusiast range of DSLR are not that heavy and the range of lens u will be using for these DSLR will be relatively light. So, don't worry bout weight till u think u are a serious enthusiast that considering to turn pro  biggrin.gif

I was kinda worried about bringing it around since it's kinda heavy and bulky.
Why not just get PnS then? really depends on what ur purpose tho... If u wanna learn photography with DSLR then u shouldn't complaint bout carrying them.  biggrin.gif

I'm either leaning to this model or the Lumix GF3 or Olympus PEN E-P3 which are m4/3.
From here, I can tell u definitely assure that u "want" a DSLR but "need" a PnS. Get a PnS mate  biggrin.gif

opinion.

which is better. 2500mAh or 2000mAh eneloop?
*
what's your usage application?

seems that the 2500 has a shorter lifespan than than the 2000.

unless you need high power output everytime, then 2500 would be usefull, and possibly less frequent charging

FYI i use 2000 on my SB700 for 150 TTL shots( 1/1 -1/8 ), still got some juice after , but can't judge how much more it has. But in terms of lifespan, i believe the 2000 would be longer

Oh? Its running on the ac adaptor?
*
you should get the Ac adaptor for your studio setup, consistant power supply is good for the electronics, and pictures will turn out better too..... laugh.gif

since you gonna have a studio setup, might as well get this

http://www.eye.fi/ , one of it will do , no need too many expensive CF /SD cards tongue.gif

1. 12-24mm f/4
2. 10-24mm f/3.5-5.6
both to be used on DX

Been reading alot on the specs, but its still 50-50

there's one seller in PM ,opening price 3 months ago 1600, now down to 1300, still no takers, i'm guessing demand for the 55-300mm higher than the 70-300mm
