The AF issue is mainly for Live View. 3rd Party lens need to update their chip; This also applies to other newer bodies like D5100. If not wrong, new batch lens should have updated chip.

But there is another problem actually with 3rd party lens... it seems when using AF Assist Lamp, the focusing accuracy for 3rd party lens is not accurate, not sure this problem already been reported as seems no fix in new batch of lens which fixed the Live View AF issue. When using SB700 AF Assist it's worst...

yeah i faced this problem with my sigma, my picture will turn to front focus when i turn on my SB900 af assist lamp, the af will focus on spot if i turn it off and it happen only with external flash, no problem with build in flash

maybe can turn off AF asist on the SB900, or is there a calibration on the camera that can compensate on the "overfocus" with the Sb900 AF assist?

yeah turn it off can seattle down my problem but when it come to low light condition my body af assist lamp just can't do the job..SB900 af assist is what im need for fast focusing in low light condition..need to send my lens to APD..
