You need large DOF to do this kind of special effects. That's how Hollywood people filmed Attack of the 50-foot woman....Because they used such a small aperture to make sure the "giant" and the actor are both in focus, they used more than 100kW of lights!

wah sharpness you use LR to do that? i tried PS brightness/contrast slider + level cannot achieve that. ya >< that time sun so bring around 3-4pm then actually all tired oledi....we go to the hut there because got breeze and shade mah...and [s]she[s/s] he starting posting then i shoot lor >< i duno how to handle this kind of situation...if the outside is super duper bright, but subject is under shade...
er er nope. i dont like LR. i use CSS3. adjust level, some plugin, secret recipe, vintage tone. done
blur tool ar...only did in background...never try on skin one unless far far away that cant see texture...if not straight can tell blured...hehe... well personal taste hehe...
