QUOTE(WyjSwmW @ Jan 8 2012, 02:43 PM)
I dun understand...
But from the customer point of view, it will be more convienient for POSB customers to withdraw money from UOB ATM as well.
Yes for customers of the smaller banks but not really for DBS/POSB.

QUOTE(WyjSwmW)
And if OCBC and UOB can share ATM, I can't understand why DBS/POSB can't share ATM with UOB.
Same reason why Apple uses a proprietary 30 pin connector instead of micro usb like Android. Or why Apple, Android, BB, Windows and Nokia don't share their app stores. Why SBSTransit didn't share buses with SMRT during last month's MRT debacle. Why it took 10 years and a compulsory government edict to stop SIM locking in SG and another 10 more to get number portability.

QUOTE(WyjSwmW)
In Malaysia, I dun see people pissed off if I maybank customer withdraws money from RHB ATM.
That's because ATM networks are not as saturated as SG. If you find an ATM in Malaysia, especially all those pendalaman areas - it's probably the only ATM within walking distance.

Guys,
Due to work exigencies I will be touching down Singapore on the 21st of jan from a long haul flight. To ensure I can still make it back with my family for reunion dinner, I purchased a bus ticket from Larkin. All the other alternatives have been exhausted.

Question is, my bus will depart on the 22nd at 9am. Given the high traffic volume, please advise the fastest route to reach Larkin from Singapore. Thanks

To avoid the jam and missing your reunion dinner, you may take SQ, MH or AK flight to KLIA and then take taxi go home. You never know the PLUS highway got any massive jam due to accident or not. tongue.gif

I used to fly Ipoh-JB via AirAsia regularly a few years ago and would take Comfort Delgro taxis from JB's Kotaraya II bus/taxi terminal back to SG.

Point is that the SG taxis must have brought passengers from SG to JB in the first place.

You might want to google or even call Comfort to see how it works. Maybe you can even book one for 6am or something.

Thanks guys. My hometown is not accessible by flights.

I was thinking about buses to Larkin from Sg. Any direct bus and if they are available as early as 600am in the morning.

Hi Tiger,

Do you know if there are any buses that depart from Sg to JB, early in the morning, and where?

Kelantan v Singapore MSL 10 Jan 2012 match.

Anybody bought tickets for that match? Think most of Singapore will be tuned in for the match. I hope Singapore wins against Kelantan. But than, as a Selangor guy and supporter, I hope Singapore wins against any other sides except when it comes to Selangor. Selangor will as usual wipe Singapore out!

Seantang, if you have stayed at Big4 for 10 years. Maybe you will become a FD/CFO of 500 Fortune now.

This guy's job scope is only Indonesia. He's not FD of Rio Tinto PLC. Only PT Rio Tinto Indonesia. From his task list, he doesn't have business or profit management/partnering and he doesn't have funding/treasury/credit. But he does have accounting and tax. So more of a controller. Probably reports to the Indonesia CFO or Asean FD/CFO.

What do you mean with Indonesia CFO?? FD=CFO la..it is a british term since Rio Tinto is an Australia company. He reports to FD in Australia. HQ is in Australia Melbourne and London.

Or this one, she worked 7 yrs in KP and become a senior manager, in commercial, with only 7 years I doubt you can achieve senior manager.

No point for these posts in the Singapore thread. If you like these Indons so much, just follow them lah. Why heboh-heboh here?

And here's why I don't like audit firms: They abuse you and then expect you to say thank you for the privilege. We try not to hire former auditors who're managers or above... they are damaged goods.
