Need to pay RM100 for wiring/drilling sweat.gif
Luckily I have money in my wallet.

I will email Unifi to inform them...just in case.
Maybe can get a rebate biggrin.gif

I was told during registration, 1st bill will start pay.
Was not told to pay RM100 for wirin/drilling work.
No receipt as well.

Three(3) technicians came...all Malay.

I'm planning to get a N56U soon haha...

about hp dropping signal, try changing the frequency band in ur wireless router to 20MHz. Our hp don't support 40 MHz.

I paid them as well , these are contractors. I mean you can complain , I don't think they would rebate. Anyway they did a fantastic job and charged me RM 250 (cause of additional wiring and stuff)

sarcasm or praising? In what case you need to pay? If I just let them to setup any place in my house, still need to pay?

Depending. I asked them to pull LAN cable from up to down my house . So those are some additional costs which involved on top of the normal fees.

Edit : I can't comment on apartments , this is for landed property

If just LAN cable extensions, no need to pay. The charges will be billed in your unifi bill. The charges will be according to the extra length that is required.

If you need to drill extra hole, lay cable over ceiling etc, u pay direct to contractor.

this was what I was told my the TM sales person who called me to confirm my order...

For apartment its best you prepare your extension cables, and LAN cables everything before they come up. the starting point for apartment will be at where ur phone port is.

For my installation case, 5 of them came in a SLK to install for me. Took them 2 hours...

I do notice that the unifi installers are better and more professional compared to streamyx installers. They even asked me if i want to join them for makan after the installation tongue.gif

thanks bro. notworthy.gif i got my belkin as AP now, but i more things, belkin now as Ap, i cant access belkin modem page? how do i set my mac filtering? the setting only available to tmdlink router is it? but tmdelink router wireless is already disable?

one more thing if i purchase a new router replace tmdlink, still can support IPTV?
*
bro do u real ALL of my reply? tongue.gif

u can access the belkin admin page... most of time router default IP is 192.168.1.1

SO: if ur tmdlink is using 192.168.0.1.... then change belkin to 192.168.0.2 .... got it right?
router 1: 192.168.0.1
router 2 = router 1 + 1 tongue.gif = 192.168.0.2 <===== so change ur second router (belkin) ip to this

and u can access both control panel.. both of wireless is active also...

when u purchase new router make sure it got vlan tagging....tplink needs to flash with custom firmware..
draytek supoprt vlan taggin already from factory... so it can replace all and IPTV works (see my sig)

good luck bro
